Taylor Swift Attends 1st Chiefs Playoffs Game to Cheer on Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift attended the first Kansas City Chiefs playoffs game to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce and his teammates.
The “Fortnight” singer, 35, was spotted riding in a cart alongside her mom, Andrea Swift, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, ahead of the Chiefs game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18. In the video shared via X, Taylor could be seen wearing a black and gray checkered coat, while Andrea wore a red satin Chiefs Jacket. As Taylor walked to her suite, she showed off her legs with a mini skirt and knee-high black boots and had a Chanel pearl belt slung around her waist.
The game marked the Chiefs’ first playoff game, as they skipped last week’s Wild Card playoff games after securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Taylor has become a staple at Chiefs games ever since she and Travis, 35, confirmed their romance in September 2023. While missed a few games during the current season due to her Eras tour schedule, her schedule has freed up ever since the tour concluded in December 2024.
Ahead of the first playoff game of the season, Travis confirmed that fans could expect to see Taylor in the stadium during the January 18 game. While appearing on the Monday, January 13, episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Travis was asked if there was “going to be an aura” at the stadium, referring to Taylor.
“Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, man,” Travis responded.
Pat McAfee then pointed out that the Chiefs have had a good record when Taylor’s been in the crowd, as the team has only lost three of the 20 games she’s attended.
“Hey, is she undefeated?” Pat, 37, continued. “She rolls into that stadium, I just want to let you know what live bettors do. They see her walk into that stadium and immediately open the phone, like, ‘Yup, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel.”
Travis continued to share insight into his relationship with Taylor during his appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show on Wednesday, January 15. “Me and Taylor are happy,” he said at the time. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium, man.”
Travis then added that the stability in his relationship with Taylor has helped him be a better football player this season.
“I think, personally, that’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship. You get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you. You know, that’s why I wanted to be at the concerts supporting her and being there for her and making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she’s doing in life,” the tight end explained. “I think I’m as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player that I could possibly be week in and week out for this team. You know, it’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”
Meanwhile, Travis also revealed how Taylor feels about his potentially retiring from the NFL.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he shared. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
