Taylor Swift and Jay-Z Celebrate Beyonce’s Grammy Win
Taylor Swift and Jay-Z are raising their glasses to Beyoncé after her big Grammys win!
The pop star, 35, and the rapper, 55, were caught on camera sharing a round of cheers with their champagne after Beyoncé, 43, won the coveted Album of the Year award for her 2024 album, Cowboy Carter, at the 2025 Grammys on Sunday, February 2. Taylor also appeared to say congratulatory words to Beyoncé’s husband, who was standing at a nearby table, as they smiled and nodded at each other while clinking their glasses.
A clip of the sweet moment quickly circulated on social media and went viral, with many fans gushing over their toast.
“Taylor celebrating with Jay Z on Beyoncé’s win! Yes yes yes!” one user wrote.
“Jay Z and Taylor Swift with a toast,” another fan added with a tearful eye emoji. “#grammys my goodness tonight was marvelously special.”
Another person pointed out that Taylor appeared to say, “Finally,” to Jay-Z, who married Beyoncé in 2008, in response to the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s win.
“Taylor cheersing with Jay-Z and saying ‘finally’ to Bey’s album of the year,” they wrote with a tearful emoji.
Taylor was also nominated in the Album of the Year category for her 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department. The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker did not take home any wins on Sunday night despite receiving nods in six categories.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé received eight nominations and walked away with wins for Album of the Year, Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance with Miley Cyrus for their song “II Most Wanted.” Taylor was the presenter for the Best Country Album award, and she gave Beyoncé a hug and a kiss on the cheek when they crossed paths on stage.
Many fans considered Taylor’s interactions with Beyoncé and Jay-Z to be a “full-circle moment” given the “Fortnight” singer’s infamous awards show history with the “Single Ladies” hitmaker. In 2009, Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to interrupt Taylor’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video and tell the audience that Beyoncé should have won instead. However, Beyoncé made it clear that she didn’t support the rapper’s actions by inviting Taylor back to the stage to finish her speech when the “Halo” singer later won her own award.
“I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So, I’d like for Taylor to come out and have her moment,” Beyoncé said at the time.
Despite many Swifties and members of the Beyhive being at odds with each other for years, Taylor and Beyoncé have remained friends and supported each other. They attended the premieres of each other’s concert films in 2023, with Taylor gushing about Beyoncé’s support on social media.
“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence,” she wrote in October 2023 after Beyoncé attended the premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”
