32-year-old Abdul Jalloh, the suspect who was arrested more than 30 times on numerous charges, including rape and identity theft, and has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman to death at a bus stop in Fairfax County, Virginia, has been identified as an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone.

alloh, an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone, was arrested earlier this week on charges of second-degree murder for the alleged fatal stabbing of 41-year-old Stephanie Minter. Minter was found dead at a bus stop with stab wounds in her upper body.

According to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Jalloh has previously been arrested for rape, malicious wounding, assault, drug possession, identity theft, trespassing, larceny, firing a weapon, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and pickpocketing.

Jalloh illegally entered the US in 2012. In 2020, an immigration detainer was lodged against him, and a judge granted a final order of removal, stating he could be removed to any country other than Sierra Leone.

DHS has called on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger to ensure that law enforcement in Virginia cooperates with the federal government by handing Jalloh over. Spanberger, who was recently elected governor, signed an executive order that ended cooperation between her state’s local law enforcement and federal immigration officials.

“We are calling on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and Virginia’s sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this murderer and violent career criminal from their jail without notifying ICE,” said Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “This illegal alien’s murder of an innocent, beautiful American woman came less than 24 hours before Governor Spanberger’s demonization of ICE law enforcement. This heinous criminal is a perfect example of why we need cooperation from sanctuary jurisdictions and the importance of third country removals for the safety of the American people.”
