Senate Democrats Head to Gitmo to Stand Up for Illegals, Criminals, & Terrorists – No Mention of Victimized Americans | JP

In a completely tone deaf move, five Senate Democrats flew out to visit Guantanamo Bay detention facility on Friday.

They weren’t there to highlight the dangerous situation on American streets being rectified by the Trump Administration.

And they weren’t there to protest against the illegal and risk-heavy border policies of the Biden Administration that has facilitated an influx of dangerous illegals unlike any time in American history.

They certainly weren’t there to bring attention to the countless Americans who have been raped, killed, and terrorized by the criminal element which has used the United States as a playground under the approval of failed progressive policies far too long.

The five Senate Democrats travelled to Gitmo in order to STAND UP for the illegals identified as having dangerous backgrounds — and to protest the perceived INJUSTICE those individuals have endured by not being allowed to freely roam U.S. streets any longer.

You know… individuals belonging to such illustrious groups as Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa cartel, and illegals with criminal histories and links to terrorists.

That’s who these Senate Democrats are spending AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS to fly down and stand up for.

But this isn’t anything new, is it?

Just a month ago, a group of Senate Democrats argued in a letter to SecDef Pete Hegseth that sending illegals (they didn’t use that word…) to Gitmo would threaten civil rights and degrade our military readiness.

And a few days later, ANOTHER group of Senate Democrats sent an almost identical letter to President Trump arguing that he didn’t have the authority to do so to begin with, according to a report in The Hill:

Sen. Jon Ossoff (Ga.) led a group of Democratic senators in writing a letter Friday to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth against the mass detention of migrants at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, saying it poses a threat to civil rights and military readiness.

The lawmakers highlighted past reports of mistreatment of detainees in facilities operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), expressing concerns over the treatment of migrants imprisoned at Guantánamo Bay.

Democratic Sens. Chris Coons (Del.), Brian Schatz (Hawaii) and Chris Van Hollen (Md.) also signed the letter.

“We oppose placing U.S. military and DoD civilian personnel in the legally and morally tenuous position of conducting mass migrant detention operations. Our men and women in uniform are warfighters, not jailers of migrants,” the group wrote, referring to the Department of Defense (DOD).

“The dramatically expanded use of U.S. military personnel and facilities to support mass detention operations overseas will divert DoD personnel and resources from its core warfighting mission,” the letter added.

On Monday, another group of five Senate Democrats led by Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.) sent a similar letter to President Trump challenging his transfer of migrants to detention centers in Guantánamo Bay.

They called the move “unprecedented, unlawful, and harmful to American national security, values and interests.”

I guess since the letter writing didn’t get them anywhere, a group of five Senate Democrats decided to fly on the American taxpayer dime to Gitmo… and argue in favor of the ‘rights’ of illegals in person!

So Senators Jack Reed, Gary Peters, Angus King, Jeanne Shaheen, and Alex Padilla did exactly that.

The trip was held under the guise of ‘Congressional oversight’, according to journalist Alison Steinberg’s reporting for Mike Lindell’s media network.

LindellTV put out a great synopsis of this shameful stunt by this group of five Senate Democrats:

As she reported, no mention of American victims or the injustices perpetrated by these CRIMINAL ILLEGALS.

No, in fact — these criminal illegals were given the red carpet treatment by the Biden regime and these same Senate Democrats… and they seem perfectly comfortable and unrepentant about the role they played in it happening!

Sitting Congressmen literally prioritize illegals over their own citizens.

And one of those Senate Democrats, Alex Padilla, wants you to think that President Trump doesn’t have the authority to make this move… and that he is deporting peace-loving LAW ABIDING ‘migrants’.

Or, President Trump could be acting perfectly within the given sphere of responsibility and authority constitutionally mandated to him.

And he is doing so in order to FIX the illegal and dangerous situation caused by those five democrats and their cohorts over the last four years, in particular.

Of course, this group of Democrats argue that the Guantanamo Bay detention facility has no place in America’s immigration system.

To which, I would reply… what else is a DETENTION FACILITY used for, if not DETAINING those who broke the law?

As usual, Democrats will scream that these are not lawbreakers — though they came here illegally… thus, breaking the law.

The insanity is never ending, it seems.

They argue against some perceived injustice against these ILLEGALS, while ignoring the injustices perpetrated by THESE ILLEGALS against American citizens!

And they suddenly want to shout “CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT” for a change, but only when it suits their narrative, according to a story on YourNews.com:

A group of Senate Democrats traveled to Guantanamo Bay this week to protest the U.S. detention of members of the Tren de Aragua cartel, a Venezuela-based criminal organization with known ties to trafficking, extortion, and multiple violent crimes. The five-member delegation includes Senators Jack Reed (D-RI), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Gary Peters (D-MI), Alex Padilla (D-CA), and Angus King (I-ME), who caucuses with Democrats. The trip was described as part of routine “congressional oversight,” according to a report by Semafor’s congressional bureau chief Burgess Everett.

The visit comes amid ongoing Democrat criticism of the Biden administration’s policy of detaining violent foreign nationals—such as members of the designated terrorist organization Tren de Aragua—at the U.S. military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Progressive lawmakers have demanded a halt to the practice, citing concerns over human rights.

“Guantanamo Bay has no place in our immigration system. This facility is known for its unrelenting human rights abuses and its use to house immigrants is fundamentally wrong,” said Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-OR), who has voiced strong opposition to the program.

Dexter continued, “I will not stand by while this administration targets and abuses our immigrant community for political gain. I will continue to lead Democrats in demanding not just transparency—but real action.”

This group of Senate Democrats are proving again and again why the Democratic Party is in such steep decline.

And they are proving how tone deaf they are to the real concerns and safety issues shared by Americans on an every day basis.

These detainees aren’t some group of freedom-loving migrants seeking out a new life.

THOSE PEOPLE DO EXIST!  And that situation is definitively more complicated — BUT NOT so complicated as to warrant looking past the LEGAL means of coming to this country!

But that isn’t who is being housed in Gitmo.  These aren’t the politically oppressed migrants of some Hollywoodized version of “looking for a better life”.

These people in Gitmo are there for a reason — they are dangerous to the point that sending them back to their own countries is an issue.

Not just for their home countries… but for America, lest they find a way to return!

These are truly violent criminals on the order of ISIS-LEVEL EVIL.

But, of course, Senate Democrats know better.  They always think they know better than the American people.

And they are willing to SPEND the American people’s money… to fly down to Gitmo in order to try to CONVINCE the American people that what they VOTED FOR is not really what they want.

All while arguing in defense of people who are in this country ILLEGALLY, with exceedingly dangerous histories and connections to known threats to this country.

One day, those Senate Democrats might wake up and realize why they are losing elections.

But it is apparently not this day.
