The unidentified person’s phone and social media data were triangulated by the LAPD.

A second person has been identified in the killing of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found decomposing in the back of singer D4vd’s Tesla in California, according to a report from TMZ. The individual could have been involved “before, during, and after” Hernandez’ death, the outlet reported.

The findings were revealed on TMZ’s “2 Angry Men” podcast, with Mark Geragos detailing the case. The unidentified person’s phone and social media data were triangulated by the LAPD, and it pointed to the location in Hollywood Hills around the same time that Hernandez died. Singer D4vd has also been identified as a suspect in the case, as Hernandez’s body was found in his Tesla and was decomposing after it had been dismembered.

Geragos said on the podcast based on sources familiar with the case that the central piece of information in the investigation is a trip that D4vd took to a remote area of Santa Barbara in the middle of the night last spring. The outlet reported that Hernandez’s body may have been in the car at the time of the trip, and other data points to the second suspect’s phone also being in the car at the time.

No arrests have been made in the case as of yet, and the medical examiner has yet to determine an official cause of death.

According to reports on the case, authorities believe that more than one person was involved in the dismembering as well as disposal of the girl’s body. The declared cause of death by the medical examiner will likely be key to making arrests related to the case.
