Multiple media outlets are reporting on the assassination of Yevgeny Rytikov, head of Russia’s Bryansk Electromechanical Plant’s design bureau and a key figure behind Russia’s Krasukha electronic warfare systems.
On April 17th, Evgeny Ritikov, a lead designer for the “Krasukha” Ground-Based Electronic Warfare System utilized by the Russian Armed Forces, alongside the deputy head of the design agency for the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant, were killed when their car exploded within the city of Bryansk in Western Russia.
Rytikov was a key developer and innovator in the field of creating the latest EW and electronic reconnaissance (ERR) systems for the Russian army and played a central role in developing Russia’s mobile jamming stations, designed to disrupt enemy radar, communications, and drone operations.
His death marks a significant loss for Russia’s EW capabilities.
This was now reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing sources within Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and the Defense Ministry’s HUR have been actively targeting Russian officers implicated in war crimes and collaborators in Russian-occupied areas. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, multiple reports have documented successful operations by Ukrainian partisans and alleged intelligence units, including the assassinations of high-ranking military officials and key collaborators. The agencies never report their involvement in the assassinations of Russian military-industrial complex-linked individuals.
