Rubio Warns Visa Waiver In Doubt For Romania As It Subverts Democracy

The US Embassy in Bucharest sent a new message to the Romanian authorities this week. A text, quoting Secretary of State Marco Rubio, suggests that the country may be excluded from the Visa Waiver Program all together.

“Visiting America is not a right. It is a privilege for those who respect our laws and values,” reads the quote from Rubio. The most important value of the United States is democracy. Romania is failing in this regard. The Economist Democracy Index, relegates Romania to the level of a hybrid regime as a result of the cancellation of the presidential elections on December 8, 2024 and the elimination of some candidates from the race.

The globalist thugs ruling in Bucharest remain blind to signals coming from overseas. This is not the first time that the U.S. Embassy has taken this position. A month ago, the diplomatic representation published J.D. Vance’s message regarding the cancellation of the elections in Romania. The U.S. Vice President has repeatedly criticized the cancellation of the electoral process and the exclusion of some candidates from the elections.

More than 4 months after that moment, with a new electoral campaign under way, the candidate who won the first round in 2024 and who had the best chance of becoming President of Romania, Călin Georgescu, has been excluded from the race.

As a result of the subversion of democracy, Romania’s entry into the Visa Waiver Program, which was scheduled to happen at the end of March, has been postponed indefinitely. The new message from the US Embassy suggests that Romania will no longer benefit from the elimination of visas any time soon.
