Miami, Florida – In the elections for Mayor of the City of Miami, the results are clear: there will be a runoff on Tuesday, December 9 between the Cuban Republican, retired Colonel Emilio González, and the Anglo Democrat Eileen Higgins, who has the support of the Mayor of Miami-Dade County Levine Cava.
New York City elected a Mayor last week who is a Communist and a Jihadist with majority of votes cast. We’ll likely see a notable exodus of New Yorkers who don’t want to live in a city dominated by Zohran Mondani and governed under a Communist-Jihadist platform. A total disaster!
The Prime Minister of Japan announced she will nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. With this year’s winner, María Corina Machado, also making the same request, it shouldn’t be too difficult for him to receive it—though some believe Trump would never be given a Nobel Peace Prize, no matter what he does.
Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica with Category 5 winds, destroying everything in its path. It’s been horrific—a true tragedy!
Former Vice President Dick Cheney has died at the age of 84. Cheney was one of the most influential vice presidents in our nation’s history. He had heart problems for many years. He started his political career by administering President Nixon’s wage-and-price controls board back in 1971.
Nvidia has become the first company in the United States to reach a valuation of five trillion dollars. Artificial Intelligence is turning the rich into millionaires and the millionaires into billionaires.
Apparently, Trump understood that legally he cannot run for a third term because the Constitution forbids it. He should focus on the more than three years remaining in his second term and continue doing the extraordinary job he’s done so far.
Thomas Wenski, the Archbishop of Miami, submitted his resignation to the Vatican. Wenski turned 75, and it’s customary to present this request upon reaching that age. Hopefully, someone less controversial will be appointed to that important position within the Catholic Church! Nevertheless, he set a good example for other public officials who stay in office past that age.
The Federal Reserve announced another quarter-point interest rate cut. Chairman Powell knows his policies haven’t met market needs, but remains uncertain whether he’ll cut again in December. He is driven mostly by political considerations, and represents one of Trump’s worst appointments from his first term. He suffers from a muted case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. We’ll see what he does!
The price of an ounce of gold surpassed $3,500. An excellent investment for those who bought gold a few years ago. We should return to pegging our currency to gold in order to preserve its purchasing power.
Trump and China’s top leader finally met in South Korea, creating an interesting atmosphere for both governments. Many believe Trump must be very cautious with China and its demands, but he is truly a great negotiator who achieved more than he planned on his trip to Asia.
The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, “wiped the floor” with Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s representative at the United Nations. With a clear voice and sharp examples, he exposed the falsity of Bruno’s claims about the U.S. “blockade” of Cuba. Remember, Mike Waltz was a Congressman from Florida and was well-informed on all Cuban issues. Little Bruno was left “flattened.”
In a meeting with Republican Senators at the White House, President Trump told them they cannot allow themselves to be blackmailed by Chuck Schumer. It’s shameful that Democrats keep the government shut down to win perks for illegal immigrants. Fortunately, the American people are perfectly clear about who’s causing the crisis. Finally, enough Democrat Senators have caved and the Schumer Shutdown is about to end.
Recently, security forces in Rio de Janeiro raided a notorious drug neighborhood in the city. Fifty criminals were killed and, unfortunately, so were four police officers. More than 2,000 agents participated in the assault. Over a ton of drugs was seized. That’s life today in Latin America.
Barack Hussein Obama is desperate. He’s the only President in our nation’s history who continues directly interfering in current affairs, in what his party decides, and in daily political discussions. He won’t let go and won’t let others operate freely. His constant interference is a major concern for the health of the United States. Without a doubt, he’s a disgrace to all. What a shame!
The Hyatt chain has suspended operations at its eight hotels in Jamaica until January 2026. This is a result of the devastating Category 5 Hurricane Melissa that struck the island. I doubt there will be many tourists interested in going there anytime soon.
“Doctor, I’ve been dreaming for five days about ants playing soccer.”
“Take this and you’ll be able to sleep tonight.”
“Are you crazy? Tonight’s the final!”
While Democrats focus on talking about the new ballroom in the White House—which, in addition to being necessary, is free for the people of the United States—President Trump continues to shine in Asia, achieving peace and trade agreements beneficial for America. What nonsense from those who forgot the disaster at the White House when Obama decided to build basketball courts inside the People’s House. Pure demagoguery!
The millionaire who donated $130 million to the Department of Defense to pay the salaries of military personnel during the terrible shutdown caused by Chuck Schumer and the Democrats is Timothy Mellon, the billionaire banker and railroad heir. Mellon is a personal friend of Donald Trump and had contributed to his presidential campaign.
Javier Milei achieved a sweeping victory against Kirchnerism in Argentina and took control of Congress. His win delivers the strongest blow yet to “Doña Cristinita,” who continues making daily scenes from her balcony. Long live democracy, long live free-markets capitalism, and long live Argentina!
A massive hurricane struck Jamaica, and its effects are being felt in Haiti, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and other parts of the Caribbean. Hopefully, there won’t be many victims.
Isabel Preysler is the most photographed non-political figure in Spain, and the tabloids continue publishing stories about her joys and sorrows. This week she presented her book, and the news media are feeding on the story. She revealed she was pregnant when she married Julio Iglesias and that he hadn’t been a good father. She also said the man she loved most was Miguel Boyer. Finally, she published the letters that Mario Vargas Llosa sent her during their eight-year romance to show what he felt for her. Clearly, she’s a woman who doesn’t hold back!
Bolivia announced its withdrawal from ALBA, the group of Communist countries founded by Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro. Fewer and fewer remain!
On his trip to Asia, President Trump arrived in Malaysia and was welcomed with music and joy. After many hours of travel, he stepped off the plane dancing and moving to the music that characterizes him. What energy!
The President of Mexico, feeling invincible, made some unfortunate remarks saying that neither God nor the Virgin of Guadalupe could remove her from office. Sheinbaum’s arrogance is historic.
Seventy-five million Americans will receive an increase in their Social Security checks starting next year. How wonderful!
On Sunday, November 2, the United States will change the time—remember to set your clocks back one hour.
President Trump announced that drug traffickers will be pursued not only by sea but also by land. Trump’s war on drugs is serious business. Hold on tight!
According to a JP poll, Trump’s popularity has risen during the impasse caused by the government shutdown. A majority of the public blames Democrats for the consequences of the closure.
Among the list of the 15 best Greek restaurants in the United States, four are in Florida: starting with Niko’s Grill in Tarpon Springs, followed by Ava in Winter Park, Psomi in Tampa, and finally Dimitri on the Water, also in Tarpon Springs. It’s worth noting that Tarpon Springs has two of Florida’s top four Greek restaurants.
Eduardo Peñalver, the son of Cuban exiles, has been named the 49th President of Georgetown University. He graduated from Yale Law School and also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. Congratulations, Eduardo!
Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate for Mayor of New York, was brilliant in the debate against Mandami and Cuomo. However, his chances of winning are almost nonexistent. Ideally, he would have stepped aside to give Cuomo a chance. In this election, we have much at stake—turning the Capital of the World into a Communist and Jihadist stronghold. Tragic!
Rumor has it that Nancy Pelosi plans to announce her retirement in the coming weeks. Once the most powerful voice of the DemocratParty in Congress for over 30 years, she’ll finally retire to her vineyards to enjoy her beloved wines—and perhaps invite “the Bad Kamala” to join her. During her time in Congress, Nancy has been an even more astute investor than Warren Buffet!
A drunk man is stopped by the police, who say: “Give me your first and last name.” He replies: “Are you crazy? Then how would I know what to call myself later?”
