Pam Bondi Blasts Democrats: “Choosing Gang Members Over Americans”

Attorney General Pam Bondi slammed Democratic lawmakers, accusing them of ignoring the violence caused by international criminal networks such as MS-13.

During an appearance on Fox News, Bondi referenced Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland’s recent request to meet with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, urging the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who Van Hollen claims was wrongly deported.

However, Bondi rejected the claims, pointing to the Trump administration’s tough stance on violent transnational gangs. Bondi said:

“These people are so detached from reality that they don’t care about the victims of crimes in this country.

There is a reason that Donald Trump declared MS-13 as a foreign terrorist organization.
Because they have come to our country, they are highly organized. They are murdering people. They are raping people. They are organized crime at its worst.”

She reiterated her support for President Trump’s decision to classify MS-13 as a foreign terrorist group, arguing it reflects the scale of the gang’s criminal activity in the United States.

“They are spread rampant throughout our country, and we are going to rid our country of MS-13 and TdA [Tren de Aragua],” Bondi said, referring to another violent transnational gang.

“We’re just thankful that President Bukele will take them to a prison in El Salvador.”

Fox News host Jesse Watters raised questions about the legality of transferring individuals who are American citizens to foreign detention centers.

“Well, Jesse, these are Americans who he is saying have committed the most heinous crimes in our country, and crime is going to decrease dramatically because he [President Trump] has given us a directive to make America safe again,” Bondi replied.

“These people need to be locked up as long as they can, as long as the law allows. We’re not going to let them go anywhere, and if we have to build more prisons in our country, we will do it.”

El Salvador’s President Bukele has received broad support for his crackdown on organized crime, including the construction of large-scale prison complexes under his administration.
