Official Democrat Party X Account Posts Photo of Kamala Harris with 'Michelle' Signs in Background

The official Democratic Party X account published a photo of Kamala Harris asking followers if they were excited about the upcoming Democratic National Convention (DNC), but something in the background steered attention away from their so-called “anointed” nominee.

In the photo, Kamala Harris is in the center, but in the background, there are several signs with “Michelle” on them.

What’s going on?

The post that featured the “Michelle” signs read:

“There are only 15 days until the Democratic National Convention. Who’s excited?”

The first to notice was the Libs of TikTok accounts, who replied, “Why do the signs say Michelle?”

Raheem Kassam of the National Pulse wrote:

“For those wondering, this picture is from DNC 08, during Michelle Obama‘s speech.”

“It’s their way of telling you who is really in charge, as has been the case since 2008: the Obamas,” Kassam explained.

Rumors have been swirling that Michelle Obama could possibly be voted in as the Democratic presidential nominee at the Convention.

However, since Harris became the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee, those rumors have been put to bed.

Last week, Barack and Michelle Obama announced their endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Harris can be seen in the video walking while answering the call, saying, “Hi, you’re both together, it’s good to hear you both.”

Michelle Obama replied on the call, “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala: I am proud of you.”

“This is going to be historic,” Michelle continues.

Barrack Obama then chimes in:

“We called to say, Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you, and to do everyhting we can to get you through this election and into the Oval office.”
