No One Is Being Banned From Military. Radical Trans Perks Are

For any self-identified transgender people with hopes of serving in our military, there’s good news! You still can! Just maybe don’t show up to the recruiter announcing that you have a penis and expect to be sleeping in the women’s barracks.

President Trump is reportedly set to sign an executive order that will prohibit taxpayer-funded accommodations for trans-identifying people in the military. That includes hormone replacement drugs, cosmetic genital surgery, cosmetic breast removal, and mixed-sex housing. Just as when Trump did this in his first term, the media are attempting to frame the event as a cruel setback for civil rights. During an interview segment on Monday, a CNN screen graphic described the coming order as “banning transgender service members.”

According to the New York Post, a White House document previewing the order offers the administration’s reasoning for the directive. “It can take a minimum of 12 months for an individual to complete treatments after transition surgery, which often involves the use of heavy narcotics,” it says. “During this period, they are not physically capable of meeting military readiness requirements and require ongoing medical care. This is not conducive for deployment or other readiness requirements.”

In the coming days, we’re going to endlessly hear the usual “there is no evidence” lines from the media and Democrats who would swear on a Bible that unnecessarily screwing with a person’s physical anatomy and hormonal chemistry is no more disruptive than a routine check-up.

So what if he had his penis split down the middle and sewn to his inner thighs? He — I mean, she — will be back on duty tomorrow! No fuss, no muss!

That’s nonsense, obviously. It takes weeks to recover from a routine tonsil removal. Patients who undergo transgender treatments never do fully recover. The men who have their penises mutilated spend the rest of their lives requiring the use of a “dilator,” the purpose of which you can look up yourself. The hormone drugs are needed forever and by definition cause a chemical imbalance with a CVS receipt-length list of adverse side effects, including weight gain, blood clots, and a higher risk of stroke.

Asked during that CNN segment about the order, the Democrat trans-identifying state lawmaker said, “There is no evidence anywhere that has been presented that transgender service members are anything but qualified to be a part of our military service.”

Hmm. Maybe, just maybe, we haven’t seen evidence presented about this because Presidents Obama and Biden, both Democrats, were in favor of the military accommodating trans-identifying individuals while Trump, as president, banned them. Where would the evidence come from, other than it being, I don’t know, self-evident that an individual who requires constant medical intervention — from drugs to surgeries to therapy — might be an undue burden on military readiness?

It’s worth reiterating that the coming order doesn’t ban anyone from serving in the military. A man can believe he’s a woman and still enlist. True, he’s not going to get free elective surgeries on his genitalia, and he’s not going to be assigned to use the women’s facilities, but he can still serve.

You know who else won’t get those things if they want to serve in the military? Literally every single other person. It’s called a “uniform” for a reason.
