NEW: Trump Torches RINO Governor In Scathing Social Media Put up

President Donld Trump refuted Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt after he accused the president of disinviting Democrat governors to the upcoming National Governors Association (NGA) event at the White House.

The event, an annual business meeting and dinner traditionally held in a bipartisan manner, was scheduled for February 20. Controversey arose when Stitt claimed that the White House planned to limit invitations primarily or exclusively to Republican governors, excluding most or all Democrats.

As chair of the NGA, Stitt communicated this to fellow governors in a letter earlier in the week, noting that the association would adjust its plans accordingly, including potentially not holding the formal meeting at the White House if it was not inclusive. Stitt further claimed there was a need for unity among governors despite partisan differences.

On Wednesday, Stitt spoke by phone with President Trump and subsequently informed NGA members that the misunderstanding had been addressed. He stated that all governors would be invited to the business meeting at the White House.

In a message to governors, Stitt wrote that the annual business meeting with the president would proceed, and invitations would extend to all.

Later in the day, President Trump pushed back on Stitt’s assertions and disputed his framing of the issue. Trump stated that invitations had been sent to all governors except two specific Democrats over unresolved issues.

“The RINO Governor of the Great State of Oklahoma, in which I won all 77 Counties, three times (The only person to do so!), incorrectly stated my position on the very exclusive Governors Annual Dinner and Meeting at the White House,” the president wrote.

“The invitations were sent to ALL Governors, other than two, who I feel are not worthy of being there.”

Trump added that he had not invited Colorado Governor Jared Polis over his treatment of Tina Peters, a former elections clerk who was sentenced to nine years in federal prison for questioning the 2020 election. He also noted that Maryland Governor Wes Moore was also not on the invite list.

The president further noted that several of his fiercest Democrat critics had been invited, including Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, whom he referred to as a “SLOB.”

“So, as usual with him, Stitt got it WRONG! The Invitations were sent out to all other Governors, Democrat and Republican,” the post continued.

“I look forward to seeing the Republican Governors, and some of the Democrats Governors who were worthy of being invited, but most of whom won’t show up. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
