New Heights Producer Says Taylor Swift Gave the Show ‘Compliments’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have both been very vocal about supporting one another in their respective careers, and “New Heights” producer Brandon Borders revealed that the “Blank Space” singer listens to every episode and even offered up some praise about the show.
Brandon explained how he and fellow “New Heights” producers Jake Chatzky were able to meet Taylor, 35, at the Sunday, January 26, Kansas City Chiefs game during the Wednesday, January 29, episode of “New Heights.”
“We had a long conversation with her,” Brandon began. “She was very complimentary of the show.”
Travis, 35, chimed in and added, “Oh, she listens every week.”
“She gave us some creative compliments and … I’m going to be very clear. You can’t tell me s–t for the rest of my life,” Brandon continued while Travis began laughing. “I did want to say I’m very appreciative of it and Jake and I are very lucky that we get to f–k around with you guys publicly. There’s a lot of people who do a lot of great things on the show and those compliments are not just for us. They’re for everybody. When somebody of that creative caliber pays you a compliment, you’re kind of like, ‘Oh f–k.’”
Travis was touched by the praise and said he appreciated Brandon and Jake “saying those things about Tay.”
The topic of the Miss Americana star was brought up after a fan of the show left a voice message asking Brandon how it felt that he had gotten the “Tay f–k ass filter privileges.” The term “f–k ass filter” refers to the name Swifties call the photo filter Taylor uses on her camera in almost all of her photos. It’s a way for fans of the “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” singer to know the photo was taken by her.
“We know it’s hard to get there, but you guys did it,” the woman on the voice message continued. “So, I need to know. What was the experience like? How did it happen?”
Brandon described the moment he and Jake arrived at the private suite on Sunday as the Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills.
“She said our names like, “Oh my God, Brandon, Jake, finally!’ We were floored,” Brandon recalled. “We didn’t see it coming. She just shook us immediately by knowing our names, and it just threw us, and we floated on over to continue the conversation.”
Brandon described the moment as “something [he’ll] replay in his head for a while,” before Travis chimed in and said, “She knows how to break the ice.”
“She broke the ice so well,” Brandon continued. “She could probably read that Jake and I were terrified.”
Travis, along with his brother, Jason Kelce, started “New Heights” in 2022, and the following year, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor began dating. Since then, their podcast has gained a huge number of Swifties as listeners and really accelerated the show’s rise to the top. While Taylor, herself, has yet to make an appearance in an episode, Travis and Jason, 37, have discussed the “Lavender Haze” artist, the Eras tour and more.
