Nancy Pelosi Praises Biden on Hunter Pardon: 'I Support the President'
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she supported President Joe Biden’s “full and unconditional pardon” of his embattled son, Hunter Biden.
Speaking with The Hill, Pelosi responded to Biden’s not-so-surprising move by saying simply, “I support the president.”
When pushed on whether she supports the pardon specifically, Pelosi added: “The pardon, yes.”
Pelosi has been doing “terrible” after President-elect Donald Trump’s victory earlier this month.
The former House Speaker blamed Joe Biden for Kamala Harris’s devastating election loss to Trump, arguing that things “would have been different” if he had stepped down earlier.
“Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” she explained.
“The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary.”
Meanwhile, other Democrats were not so happy about Biden’s pardon.

One Democrat governor and one Democrat member of U.S. Congress voiced anger against the pardon, which covered every crime he committed “or may have committed or taken part in” over an 11 year period.
Far-left Colorado Governor Jared Polis posted on X:
“While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country.”
“This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation,” he continued.
“When you become President, your role is Pater familias of the nation.”
“Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President’s son.”
