The Senate, on Thursday, failed to pass a motion to invoke cloture on the DHS funding bill and on a proposed standalone amendment to the SAVE America Act.

And the House Ethics Committee held a trial regarding the potential expulsion of Democrat Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (FL-20) in connection with charges that she stole $5 million in COVID aid.

On Thursday, President Trump hosted a Cabinet meeting, which produced a number of interesting stories.

He’ll spend the weekend at Mar-a-Lago, put in some Executive Time, and attend a MAGA meeting and dinner on Saturday evening.
On Friday, Vice President JD Vance will host the first meeting of the President’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud at the White House. The Vice President will be joined by a number of cabinet secretaries and senior administration officials.
