Love Island: Beyond the Villa Spinoff: Premiere Date, Returning Cast
PPG are back! The summer just got a little bit hotter as Peacock officially greenlighted the first-ever Love Island docuseries, Love Island: Beyond the Villa — featuring the series’ Powerpuff Girls, a.k.a. Serena Page, Leah Kateb and JaNA Craig, as lead cast members.
Life & Style breaks down the reality TV series that showcases the lives of the islanders “after the villa” and dives deeper into exactly which cast members are returning to screens for the iconic summer show.
What Is ‘Love Island: Beyond the Villa’?
After months of internet buzz about a possible Love Island spinoff, Peacock officially announced Love Island: Beyond the Villa on April 17, 2025.
Love Island: Beyond the Villa is set to “follow everyone’s favorite season 6 Islanders around Los Angeles as they navigate new careers, evolving friendships, newfound fame and complex relationships outside of the Love Island villa,” according to the press release.
Which Islanders Are Returning for ‘Love Island: Beyond the Villa’?
Season 6 of Love Island was Peacock’s most-watched original reality competition series in the platform’s history. It was the first to have a New York City reunion special, and several of the breakout stars were signed to creative agencies to explore opportunities after their newfound fame.
Fans can definitely expect their favorite girl group PPG a.k.a. Serena, JaNa and Leah to return to show off their lives post-Love Island fame for the spinoff.
Love Island viewers will be interested to see exes Aaron Evans and Kaylor Martin, who were together a majority of season 6, on the cast, as they continued to move on from their heated split last summer. In addition, reality TV viewers can expect to see other fan-favorite islanders like Olivia Walker, Connor Newsum and Kendall Washington.
While Kenny Rodriguez and Miguel Harichi are confirmed to join their girlfriends JaNa and Leah on the cast, Serena’s man, Kordell Beckham, is notably absent — for now. However, more appearances from former islanders are teased throughout the season. Another fan favorite missing from the lineup was snake enthusiast Rob Rausch.
Love Island: Beyond the Villa comes after months of teasers from the cast after the show wrapped in July 2024. Leah teased that fans hadn’t seen the last of her, JaNa and Serena as there was “a lot in the making for PPG.”
“You guys will see more of us,” the Calabasas, California, native told People after her time in the villa. “We will be on your screens. We will be on your cell phones. Trust me, guys, we want to see you guys as much as you want to see us.”
Simon Thomas, Love Island USA executive producer and president of ITV Entertainment, was vocal about his love of PPG and previously teased that “would love to see” the girl group together again.
“There are such a great group of girls, period. Fantastic. But JaNa, Serena and Leah — one in a million kind of friendship [on the show],” he told the Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “So the three of them, yeah, I hope we see them again.”
Why Is Kordell Beckham Not a Featured Cast Member on ‘Love Island: Beyond the Villa’?
After Kordell wasn’t named as a featured cast member on the spinoff, fans were quick to speculate about his absence — many worried it signaled the end of his relationship with Serena.
However, People later confirmed that Kordell will be appearing on the spinoff — just not as a full-time cast member. The reason? He landed a role in a new scripted show, and its filming schedule directly conflicted with Beyond the Villa.
When Does ‘Love Island: Beyond the Villa’ Premiere?
Love Island: Beyond the Villa is set to premiere in Summer 2025.
