Kamala’s campaign paid Lebron James production company $50,000 after endorsement
James’s SpringHill Entertainment was paid $50,000 by the Harris campaign on January 28 for a “campaign event production.”
After Lebron James endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 election campaign, she then paid his company $50,000 for “campaign event production.”
James’s SpringHill Entertainment was paid $50,000 by the Harris campaign on January 28 for a “campaign event production,” according to campaign finance disclosures that were released earlier last week, months after the endorsement from James.
The famous basketball star did not make an appearance for any campaign event put on by Harris, but did however post a 75-second video on social media leading up to the election in order to endorse Harris in her race for president against than-GOP nominee Donald Trump.
On X, James wrote, “When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”
He posted a video clip that portrayed Trump as a racist, citing comments from a comedian that appeared at a Madison Square Garden rally, as well as multiple out-of-context clips from the president.
The clip was shared with his audience of over 53 million on the social media platform on October 31. The payment to James is one of the latest examples of big spending from the Harris campaign that has come to light. Despite raising over a billion dollars, Harris burned through it and ended up with debt after November 5 and was still soliciting donations after her loss.
“A lot of people got rich on the back of donors trying to stop Trump. And I think this disqualifies her forever—forever. If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America,” Democratic donor John Morgan said of Harris, who has been reportedly considering a run for California governor.
According to social media posts reported on by the Washington Free Beacon, James’ company worked with HollandWest Productions to make the social media post endorsing Harris.
“We are thrilled to have collaborated on producing this ad for LeBron James as he officially endorses Kamala Harris,” a post from HollandWest Productions said at the time.
