Joe Jonas Leans on Brothers: 'Still Adrift Without Sophie' (EXCL)

The Jonas Brothers are gearing up for their 20th anniversary tour later this year and a source exclusively tells Life & Style middle brother Joe is in need of all the sibling support he can get as he continues to pick up the pieces of his life following his divorce from Sophie Turner.

“They’re going to be on the road from August until mid-November, plus all the time they’ll be spending preparing, it’s going to be the most time they’ve spent together since they broke up,” the insider says. “They’re all excited about it, but Joe is for sure the most hyped. Kevin and Nick are happily married, their wives and kids will come to some of the stops, but they won’t be joining them for the whole tour.”

Joe, 35, filed for divorce from the Game of Thrones alum, 29, in September 2023 after four years of marriage. The split quickly devolved into a custody battle over their daughters Willa and Delphine. They initially agreed to raise their children in England, with Sophie intending to relocate there to raise them after her film commitments. Though a public and contentious dispute arose after Joe allegedly withheld the kids’ passports, preventing them from going back to the U.K. Sophie accused her ex of wrongful retention, but Joe shot back against the allegations, claiming she had agreed to let them stay in the U.S. while he was on tour.

As things reached a boiling point, the two decided to try for an amicable mediation and eventually settled the issue with a temporary custody agreement in January 2024, allowing alternating visits to the U.S. and U.K. for the children.

While the fight no longer rages on, the source notes the entire ordeal was traumatic for both Joe and Sophie. Joe is “very lost,” the insider says, and he’s “still quite adrift without Sophie.” As it happens, the reunion tour is ideal for him at the moment, considering he’ll be leaning on brotherly love and support from Nick, 32, and Kevin, 37, throughout.

“Having his family around him like this is the best thing that could happen for him,” the insider adds. “Nick and Kevin are already talking about how they’ll be homesick, whereas Joe doesn’t really have a home to be missing at this point.”

All three brothers are very much looking forward to the Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour, which kicks off at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 10, and the quality time they’re going to enjoy with one another as a result. New Jersey natives themselves, Nick told Entertainment Tonight they couldn’t be more excited to play the first show of their tour in their home state, calling the “thousands of people out here to support us and our family and team,” a “really special” feeling that’s sure to help boost Joe’s spirits.

“Nick and Kevin can see how much he needs this right now,” the source continues. “They will definitely be doing all they can to give him a boost while they’re out on tour and together 24/7.”
