Pretty Little Liars star Ian Harding landed a big role starring alongside Lindsay Lohan in Netflix’s Our Little Secret. Now well on his way to moving beyond supporting roles, the Ford v Ferrari actor now has fans digging for facts and tidbits about his personal life.
Ian has kept news about his family pretty low-key to date. “I enjoy performing, but I don’t actually like everything else that comes with it, like the need to constantly put yourself out there on social media,” the actor and avid bird watcher told Ability magazine in November 2020.

Who Is Sophie Hart?
Sophie is a Carnegie Mellon alum and photographer that also seems to prefer time behind the camera instead of in front. She shot the Lucy Boynton cover story for New York magazine. She’s also had her work featured in Ladygunn and Sorbet — and she even lent her artistic skills to the cover photograph of her husband’s book, Odd Birds.
“She surprises me every day,” Ian told MyDomaine in 2018.
In addition to photography, Sophie is also a designer, working on many of the sets she shoots herself.
How Did Sophie Hart and Ian Harding Meet?
Ian and Sophie began dating in 2011, though the exact circumstances of the beginning of their relationship aren’t clear. However, they did date for the majority of Ian’s run on Pretty Little Liars, despite fans hoping for a real-life romance to blossom between Ian and costar Lucy Hale to match their characters’ on-screen relationship in the show.
Very private about their personal lives, the two became engaged sometime before 2019. In August 2021, the two revealed they had secretly wed at the end of 2019 and had kept their marriage low-key.
Since then, they’ve appeared on the occasional red carpet as a couple but haven’t been too public with details about their home life.
Do Ian Harding and Sophie Hart Have Children?
Keeping with their quiet nature, the couple revealed they had welcomed a child in September 2022.
The actor shared a photo of his hand holding a tiny baby’s hand, presumably his kid’s, with the caption, “Thank you for the Birthday wishes, folks. I’m thankful for many things this past year, but most of all I’m grateful for the best early birthday present a fella could ask for.”
While it’s not necessarily an out-there announcement, the post is confirmation enough that the couple now has a child.
Sophie Hart Is Also a Designer
In addition to photography, an acting credit on Modern Family, and set design work, the mother of one is also an interior designer, who helped furnish the couple’s home.
In a feature for MyDomaine, Ian revealed Sophie had a lot of input, saying, “There’s this one photo of this pink French salon with checkered floors.”
“She came to me and said, ‘I want to do this with the downstairs.’ And I think I laughed first. But then she made it work,” he explained.
