Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Halts ALL Funding of NGOs Aiding Illegal Immigration
President Donald Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, announced the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has stopped all grant funding for non-governmental organizations aiding mass illegal immigration into the U.S.
The DHS funneled almost $400 million into far-left NGOs under the Biden administration, assisting illegals with housing, food, and job placement.
In 2024, $640 million in taxpayer dollars was directed across several departments and agencies to assist illegal immigrants.
The DHS grant program directly funded highly partisan NGOs, many of which promoted radical, anti-American ideologies.
Last November, now-former Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) introduced legislation to strip Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax-exempt status from NGOs assisting illegal immigrants.
One of the organizations even assisted illegal immigrants in unlawfully voting for Joe Biden prior to his exit from the 2024 presidential race.
“Many of these NGOs actually have infrastructure and operations set up in Mexico, on that side of the border, and are telling those illegal immigrants to come to them, and they will get them across the border,” Noem said on Fox News Channel’s Will Cain Show.
“So they’re not just operating in the United States, they’re operating outside the United States to help make it easier for those who want to break our laws.”

Noem added that the first step to curbing the issue is to freeze the funds and make sure taxpayer dollars are going toward safe causes.
“I think people are curious [to see how] grants that are given out by federal agencies [are] utilized,” Noem said.
Noem said the department is “not spending another dime to help the destruction of this country.”
“When somebody said NGO to me, I thought that [was] a nonprofit telling somebody about Jesus or spreading faith and salvation…,” Noem said.

“Then I realized over the years, it’s been perverted into this shadow government.”
Besides helping illegal immigration, one NGO became a major catalyst for President Donald Trump‘s impeachment in 2019.
The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), comprised of journalists in six countries and co-founded by entrepreneur Drew Sullivan, received a whopping 52 percent of the funds from the U.S. federal government.
According to the report published by Drop Site, while the OCCRP has disclosed that it receives some government funding, those exact amounts were previously unknown to the public.
The U.S. government has contributed $47 million to its budget granting OCCRP an additional $12 million since its founding.
