Hillary Clinton Torched After False Claim About DC Crime and Trump’s National Guard Move

Failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to President Donald Trump’s decision to restore law and order on the streets of Washington, D.C., slamming her former rival as “unhinged.”

“As you listen to an unhinged Trump try to justify deploying the National Guard in DC, here’s reality: Violent crime in DC is at a 30-year low,” Clinton wrote on X shortly after Trump’s press conference.

Clinton was immediately criticized for injecting her irrelevant stream of consciousness into the public square.

“On top of being a big-time loser, you’re also a massive liar,” seethed Trump’s Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson, citing a story from July about a police commander who was suspended for falsifying recent crime statistics.

Metropolitan Police Department Commander Michael Puliam said the allegation against his officer was false — despite being accused by his own police union.

U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) echoed Clinton’s claim.

“Violent crime in Washington, D.C. is at a thirty-year low. Donald Trump has no basis to take over the local police department. And zero credibility on the issue of law and order. Get lost,” he said about Trump’s order, which brings thousands of National Guardsmen and FBI agents into city streets.

Conservative influencer Clay Banks clapped back, “Democrats are lining up to oppose crime being lower in DC. It’s bonkers.”

Trump was vindicated when another shooting in Washington left one person dead, marking the 100th homicide suffered in the city this year alone.

“We’re going to take our capital back,” he said.

The president’s decision eliminated the Home Rule Act, a 1973 law passed by Congress that allows the District of Columbia to largely manage its own municipal affairs.

But a recent number of high-profile instances of violence has reinforced Trump’s message that lawlessness is running rampant.

Last month, a congressional intern was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting.

In May, an anti-Israel terrorist shot and killed a Jewish couple leaving the Israeli consulate.

Edward Coristine, who works as “Big Balls” at the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, suffered an assault during a carjacking earlier this month.

The union for the Metropolitan Police endorsed Trump’s decision, thanking him for sending in reinforcements at a time when the organization’s number of patrol officers sits at a historic low.
