GOP & Con Inc. Prevent Efforts to End Child Genital Mutilation

Over the past five years, Texas father Jeff Younger has been battling the Los Angeles and Dallas courts against his former wife Anne Georgulas’ wishes to chemically castrate their son James.

So, where did the 59-year-old father of twins go wrong? Where were Republicans or conservatives to stop the mutilation of the now 12-year-old boy?

For starters, the state of California, along with ten other blue states, permits the relocation of children to states that allow so-called “gender-affirming care,” circumventing the 25 red states’ laws banning the surgeries.

Red states like Montana and Texas are even at risk as this child sex change tourism continues to happen throughout the country.

Although red states ban sex change operations, blue states essentially traffic the minors to bypass state laws.

The Texas Supreme Court couldn’t protect the then-10-year-old James from California’s “Trans Refuge” law, allowing Georgulas to relocate him to California for transition surgery to “Luna.”

Younger argued that SB 107 allows Georgulas to evade the Texas court order of unilateral consent to gender-transition therapy. Republican Justice Jimmy Blacklock disagreed, calling the interpretation a misreading of the California law.

However, in the trial documents, Blacklock indicates that it does indeed do what Younger had said it does.

[The] ‘trans refuge’ bill [is] designed in part to respond to ‘executive and legislative action in Texas,’ the bill certainly casts a wide net in pursuit of its objectives. The bill contains several provisions barring enforcement in California of ‘a law of another state’ … that prohibits ‘gender-affirming health care.’

Younger then argued that “prohibitions on the enforcement of another state’s ‘law’ against gender-transition therapy” should be viewed “as a prohibition on enforcement in California of court orders limiting access to such therapy.” Blacklock disagreed, saying it does not supersede the Texas family court order.

A court order allocating the parental rights of divorced parents based on case-specific judicial findings about the best interests of their children is in no way ‘a law of another state.’

The custody order or conservatorship in Texas is legally binding in the US Constitution.

Family law tends to grant justices a wide berth of discretion so long as it’s “in the best interest of the child.” The Texas Supreme Court decided that it was in the best interest of this 12-year-old boy to mandate a sex change if he expressed any sense of gender dysphoria. The mandate would occur once the child arrived in California. Only one parent is required to consent if the child is 12 or older. This same mandate is supposedly illegal in Texas under the state’s laws.

On Nov. 19, Younger posted about his loss in LA County Court on X. Elon Musk reposted Younger, garnering 16.7 million impressions.

Younger went on to do several interviews with independent conservative outlets like Paul Harrell’s Millstone Report and Owen Shroyer’s WarRoom. Meanwhile, Con Inc. media sat on its hands for a week before touching the story.

Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee posted about the incident on X Nov. 25, reaching 36.1 million views, but did not directly link Younger to the story.

The offshoot of Dillon’s satirical news outlet, Not The Bee, posted the story the following day, with Musk reposting it again, garnering 36.5 million views.

Libs of TikTok also did not link Younger’s original post, which was reposted by Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner and had over 72 million views cumulatively.

There was much Con Inc. could have reported on besides the contents of these articles they simply shared. For one, California Judge Mark Juhas attempted to seek contempt of court charges against Younger. National File reported on Juhas’ initial attempts to jail Younger. The state of California also sealed the court documents in LA County Superior Court. The seal imposed a gag order to even observers in the courtroom, according to The Daily Signal.

Only two mainstream outlets — GBNews and NewsBusters — covered the story as it played out in California. Con Inc. remained relatively silent in the Dallas County courts, essentially showing it was about internet traffic rather than protecting this young boy against gender transitioning. In comparison, National File went toe-to-toe with Texas’ elected officials who were funded by gender transition clinics.

Austin GOP was found to have opposed the childhood transgender ban, killing the Texas bill in 2021. National File uncovered GOP cash opposing Younger’s candidacy for State House. Some Republicans even joined in the fight to protect transgender surgeries, including state Reps. Sarah Davis and Todd Hunter.

In sum, the ever-cautious Con Inc. worked hand-in-hand with establishment Republicans, essentially downplaying and, as a result, advocating for child transgender surgeries.
