Drama is unfolding in Moldova, a former Soviet Republic and a strategic nation on the border of Ukraine. There are 2,500 Russian troops guarding a Soviet era ammunition dump in the autonomous region of Transdniester, which saw a civil war in the early 1990s.
Moldova itself is considered part of the Romanian culture.
The Moldovan opposition, including the Patriotic Bloc, is gaining 49.52% within the country, ahead of the ruling PAS (Maia Sandu’s pro-Western party), which has 44.15% – according to the CEC after processing 99.85% of protocols.
Moldovans voted in a parliamentary election seen as a pivotal choice between closer ties with the EU or Russia.
President Maia Sandu’s pro-EU Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) faced challenges from the pro-Russian Patriotic Bloc amid warnings of Russian meddling, cyberattacks, and potential post-election protests.
Polls suggest PAS may lose its majority, forcing possible coalition talks with opposition parties.
This would be a major loss for globalist control and to push the Ukraine conflict forward.
Turnout was about 30% by mid election day with final results expected to show whether Moldova stays on a pro-European path or shifts toward Moscow. The diaspora in Moscow is complaining of rigged voting procedures by Moldovan authorities.
Igor Dodon, former president of Moldova and one of the leaders of the Patriotic Opposition Bloc, stated that the Moldovan authorities, after announcing the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections, are considering the possibility of canceling them, reported Clash Report.
“The power of the “Action and Solidarity” party is currently in panic and is considering various pretexts, justifications, and scenarios that go beyond the law and democratic norms.
The possibility of canceling the elections is even being considered, as the PAS has turned into an authoritarian regime that categorically refuses to relinquish power.”
