Fetterman Spotted Dining at MAGA Hotspot on Wedding Anniversary – Without His Wife

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman’s recent choice of dining mates for his wedding anniversary wasn’t his wife — it was Breitbart journalist Matt Boyle, at a restaurant called Butterworth’s.

Politico describes the eatery as “D.C.’s top MAGA hangout.”

The Pennsylvania Democrat was also joined by former advisor to President Donald Trump, Steve Bannon.

Fetterman and Bannon reportedly sat and spoke for about 20 minutes.

The lawmaker didn’t deny the meeting when asked by reporters about it, but provided no further details.

“Oh my gosh, I don’t have anything,” Fetterman said, according to The Hill.

A representative for Fetterman clarified Bannon’s presence at the dinner to the outlet: “The run-in with Bannon was inadvertent and impromptu.”

However, it was the absence of Fetterman’s wife that raised the most eyebrows.

“What Politico did not mention was that Monday, June 9, was Fetterman’s 17th wedding anniversary with Gisele Fetterman,” Mediaite reported.

Other journalists on social media highlighted the significance of that date:

Fetterman’s marriage to Gisele does appear to have had public issues, with some speculating the lawmaker’s pro-Israel stance may have caused tension.

The Democrat’s presence at a pro-Trump watering hole could indeed carry larger political implications.

Fetterman has shown little hesitation calling out members of his own party when he sees wrongdoing.

He also appears willing to support the occasional Republican cause and is not opposed to engaging with the opposite party.
