Ex-Chicago Top Cop: Trump Could Fix City Crime—And That Terrifies Democrats – WATCH
Former police chief of Chicago, Jody Weis, said that President Donald Trump cracking down on crime in the city is what Democrats really fear—because it would work.
When people see that crime can be handled, like in Washington, D.C., it exposes Democrat leaders in Chicago for allowing this to happen.
Trump’s success at the southern border was the exact same thing.
When Chicago residents see that they don’t have to live this way, some of them are going to start questioning these Democrats—and they certainly don’t want that.
FOX News reports: Former head of the Chicago Police Department Jody Weis called out the two top Democrats in Illinois, arguing they are afraid of being humiliated by President Donald Trump successfully bringing down crime in the city.
After Trump caused shockwaves with his crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C., Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson warned the president against trying to interfere in Chicago. But Trump declared in no uncertain terms on Tuesday, “We’re going in. I didn’t say when, we’re going in.”
Weis spoke to National News Desk that same day, chastising Pritzker and Johnson for opposing Trump’s federal assistance efforts to combat crime.
“I think they are afraid that people will see what can be done if politicians commit to taking action and really want to make a difference,” Weis said.
“That’s really the only reason I can think of because otherwise, it makes no sense.”

Watch:
Weis is correct.
But what is more telling is how Democrats are opposing making a great American city safer simply because they don’t want to give Trump a win.
They care more about politics than the people.
