CNN Host Visibly Stunned by Tom Homan's Fiery Threat to Mayor over Disrupting Deportation Efforts
Trump’s new border czar, Tom Homan, caused a disturbed reaction from CNN tanchor Kasie Hunt after issuing a fiery threat to the progressive Democrat Denver Mayor who vowed to disrupt deportation plans.
The future head of U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement responded to Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s promise to refuse to work with local authorities in detaining migrants.
Johnston previously said he would like to see city police line the perimeter of Denver to prevent immigration authorities from entering
However, he later withdrew his comments following backlash
“What it says is that it’s a felony if you knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien from immigration authorities. It’s also a felony to impede a federal law enforcement officer,” Homan told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
“So if he don’t help, that’s fine. He can get the hell out of the way, but we’re going to go do the job,” he said.

“I find it hard to believe that any mayor or governor would say they don’t want public safety threats removed from their neighbourhoods,” he added.
“Me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing: he’s willing to go to jail. I’m willing to put him in jail.”
“Oof,” Hunt reacted in a clip.

Johnston isn’t the first liberal mayor threatening to upend deporting plans.
Earlier this week, Frederick, Maryland, Mayor Michael O’Connor announced plans to provide taxpayer-funded assistance to illegal aliens facing deportation under Trump.

Meanwhile, Boston’s Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu promised to deny federal authorities access to city resources while conducting raids to locate and arrest criminal illegal aliens.
Wu told a local TV station, “We are not cooperating with those efforts that actually threaten the safety of everyone by causing widespread fear and having a large-scale economic impact.”
Trump has suggested he is open to defunding sanctuary cities if they fail to cooperate.
“That’s going to happen, I guarantee you,” Homan told conservative Fox News host Mark Levin previously.
