Christina Haack Can’t Believe Josh Hall’s Actions Amid Divorce (Excl)
The news of Christina Haack and Joshua Hall’s divorce was shocking, but the events that later played out have been even more mind-blowing. Now, a source exclusively tells Life & Style that the HGTV star “can’t believe that this is the same guy she thought she’d spend the rest of her life with.”
“There’s no telling how low Josh will stoop to get her money,” the insider says.
It came as a shock to fans when Christina, 41, and Josh, 44, filed for divorce in July after two years of marriage. Their split quickly turned nasty when the Christina on the Coast star claimed that Josh moved $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account.
“I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties,” Christina requested in a filing later that month.
Although a judge ruled in favor of Christina by ordering Josh to return the lump sum in September, he claimed that her accusations were false.
“Josh has said repeatedly that he wants to handle the divorce like an adult — in the courts, not in social media,” his rep told Daily Mail in a statement on October 7.
The rep later added, “These are false, libelous claims. Josh hasn’t stolen a penny from her or her family. This is a red line, and Christina has crossed it. Instead of repeating Christina’s false statement, the media should ask why Christina keeps insisting on handling this matter in public instead of through the law.”
Now, Christina and the realtor are fighting over their Tennessee home after the TV personality listed the property for $4.5 million on October 3.
“My Tennessee home is officially for sale. Excited for a new venture in business & real estate,” she wrote via Instagram Stories alongside a picture of the house.
Christina shared her real feelings toward the sale of the home in the following slide, while seemingly shading Josh.
“I guess ‘Leipers Fork’ is gonna have to come off the bio soon. Time to go back to reality,” she wrote. “Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog[?] I guess plans changed.”
Days later, Life & Style confirmed that Josh filed to block the potential sale of the home. In the filing, Josh claimed to have an “appreciation interest” in the property that Christina bought in February 2021.
While battling over the home in court, Christina claimed that Josh requested a hefty spousal support amount. “The court is familiar with offers labeled as ‘Good Faith’ settlement offers which are not in fact made in good faith. The claim by [Josh] that he sent a … ‘Good [F]aith’ settlement offer is not a fair characterization in my opinion,” Christina’s lawyer Matthew S. DeArmey wrote in the statement. “Josh Hall is requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a two-year, nine-month marriage, which is outrageous when he is self-supporting,”
However, Josh’s rep later told Journalposts that the accusations were “false.”
