Chrissy Teigen Shares Her Relatable Cause for Posting on Instagram
Chrissy Teigen may be a famous model and TV personality, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to the pressures of social media.
In a new Instagram post, Teigen got real about the underlying reasons she feels compelled to make posts.
The post contained a carousel of Teigan’s life, with photos and videos of her, her children, and her husband, John Legend having fun together.
However, in the caption, she mused about the pressure she feels to post things.
“Sometimes I’m like f*** I should post something. And I don’t even know why,” she wrote in the post. “So then I just go through my camera roll and haphazardly throw whatever in with zero thought. It takes me all of 20 seconds then I post it and I feel a sense of relief.“
While posting may make Teigen feel like she “did something,” she then questioned what this urge to share online really meant.
“Like wow I did it. I posted. I’m a good girl,” she continued. “Good girl to who? The boss of the internet? Why am I always trying to please mysterious people all day? What can I take for this disorder?”
Fellow celebrities and fans alike related to what Teigen had to say in the comments.
“I feel the same at times. But, I post mainly for myself. For me, IG is like a memory bank/ a virtual photo album, so I can go back and relive it all over again. I do need to start printing more photos though! ❤️” a fan and fellow mom commented.
“I so admire the time you guys take with your kids! Whatever you post is just FINE!!!♥️” another fan chimed in.
“I feel this so deeply loool,” added actress Vanessa Hudgens.
