Chris Rock mocks Will Smith, wife Jada one year after slap at Oscars
Comedian Chris Rock mocked actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith in his recent comedy special on Netflix. The move comes one year after Smith slapped Rock on stage at the Oscars for supposedly disrespecting his wife.
In his new Netflix special called “Selective Outrage,” Rock joked about watching Smith’s latest movie “Emancipation” just so he could watch Smith “get whooped” and cheer “hit him again” and “you missed a spot.”
On March last year, Smith got up from his seat at the Oscars to slap Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s appearance.
According to JP, Rock accused Jada of stirring up tensions between the three after calling for a boycott to the 2016 Oscars, which Rock was hosting at the time.

She claimed to have been protesting due to her husband and other black actors not being nominated.
Rock then joked about how she was at the award show that year and last year.
Rock commented, “She starts it. I finish it.”
Rock also took aim at Smith’s marriage troubles and called out Jada’s admitted affair, which she previously referred to as an “entanglement.”
“I didn’t have any entanglements,” Rock said. “She hurt him way more than he hurt me.”
Smith issued an apology to Rock and The Academy the day after his outburst and has since been banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years.
“I got parents, and you know what my parents taught me? Don’t fight in front of white people,” Rock joked during his special, addressing why he didn’t fight Smith in the immediate aftermath of the slap.
