CDC now likening COVID to other viral respiratory illnesses, says it’s still important to get jabbed

As jab-peddling continued, the “experts” at the CDC rolled out their latest recommendations regarding COVID and the flu “about 4.5 years late.”

When names like Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Robert Redfield were just beginning to become readily recognizable by the public at the beginning of 2020, many may recall how masking was discounted as a mostly futile practice and COVID-19 was being regarded as a “bad flu.”

Now, after both of those notions had been cast asunder in favor of panic porn and illogical lockdowns that divided society by “essential” and “non-essential” workers, the CDC released their updated recommendations on dealing with respiratory viruses that just so happened to consider COVID at the same severity as influenza.

“CDC released today updated recommendations for how people can protect themselves and their communities from respiratory viruses, including COVID-19,” the release stated. “The new guidance brings a unified approach to addressing risks from a range of common respiratory viral illnesses, such as COVID-19, flu, and RSV, which can cause significant health impacts and strain on hospitals and health care workers.”

“CDC is making updates to the recommendations now because the U.S. is seeing far fewer hospitalizations and deaths associated with COVID-19 and because we have more tolls than ever to combat flu, COVID, and RSV,” the agency contended.

In her own statement on the updated recommendations, CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen said, “Today’s announcement reflects the progress we have made in protecting against severe illness from COVID-19. However, we still must use the commonsense solutions we know work to protect ourselves and others from serious illness from respiratory viruses–this includes vaccination, treatment, and staying home when we get sick.”

Gone away was the five-day isolation requirement that itself had been cut down from two weeks, but here to stay was the recommendation to wear a “well-fitting mask,” social distance and of course remain “up to date with vaccination” regardless of reports of waning, limited or even negative efficacy for recipients of the mRNA shots.

As the recommendations made the rounds on social media, some of the most outspoken voices against medical tyranny and draconian measures imposed on the public reacted with lasting disdain for those who oft-repeated slogans like “follow the science” and “trust the experts.”

Among them was Dr. Robert Malone, whose work was integral in the invention of the mRNA vaccine technology employed who wrote on X, “Well, well. Reality is finally creeping in quietly through the back door at CDC. And yet the FDA maintains [Emergency Use Authorization] for the jabs and both CDC and FDA keep pushing them.”

Even the non-credentialed who were frequently discredited for doing their own research readily called out the agency as one user wrote, “It’s pretty remarkable to watch the CDC come out and recommend exactly what we’ve been doing for so many years. If it takes a bunch of bureaucrats cosplaying scientists 4 years to figure out basic common sense, our public health apparatus is broken beyond redemption.”
