Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend Lexi Wood has shed light on his family’s dynamic amid rumors that the model and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, are feuding with his parents, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.

“It’s so funny because those are the types of families that I’m used to,” Lexi, 27, said on the Wednesday, May 7, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, discussing both Brooklyn’s parents and Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, who are parents to Lexi’s ex Presley Gerber. “Like, families that are in the industry that give each other advice, work with each other where they can, like, that are so close, travel together, live together. They do so much together.”

Lexi said that the Beckhams and the Gerbers believe that “your family has your back, period.”

“I do feel like those families are great,” she continued.

The Summer House star called the Beckhams a “beautiful family,” adding that Victoria, 51, is “the style icon.”

“They’re the coolest family,” she said of David and Victoria’s brood, which includes kids Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.

Lexi said that Cindy, 59, and Rande, 63, who share Presley, 25, and Kaia Gerber, 23, have also done well in raising their kids.

“Both families have raised such great families,” she concluded. “And just being so close and having those same, like, morals and values that I have so innately, it was just so nice being around them.”

Lexi dated Brooklyn in 2018 and Presley in 2022.

Lexi’s podcast interview came amid rumors of tension between Brooklyn, Nicola, 30, Victoria and David, 50. Fans speculated that there was a family feud when the eldest son of the former soccer star and Spice Girls alum was notably absent from David’s birthday party in London on May 3. The rest of his siblings were in attendance at the bash.

The day before his party, David named Brooklyn alongside his other children in a lengthy post reflecting on his milestone birthday.

“My wife and best friend of 28 years and my beautiful children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz & Harper, you are the reason I get out of bed each day, thank you for making me smile and thank you for making me a better man. … I love you all so much and thank you for making today so special for me. … You are my world,” he wrote.

A source told Journalposts after Brooklyn and Nicola skipped the party that “bad blood” between the Lola actress and Victoria was to blame for the feud, noting that it dated back to before Nicola and Brooklyn got married in April 2022.

“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” the insider said. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”

The source continued, “He completely supports and stands by Nicola, and it has put a rift in his relationship with his parents. Nicola is outspoken and that is what has caused tension with his parents. She will defend Brooklyn a lot and is defensive. Brooklyn will always be on Nicola’s side, and that’s made things even more tense between him and his parents.”

Though the insider said Brooklyn has made attempts to “mend” his relationship with his parents, David and Victoria “aren’t understanding of his side of the story.”

“They asked him to come to the birthday party and Brooklyn refused, so they are all taking space right now,” the source added.

Meanwhile, “David and Victoria just want all the drama to stop,” the source said.

“They’re really upset that it’s all become so public,” insider concluded. “It’s embarrassing for them, especially since they’ve always tried to come across as this super tight, united family. Victoria wants all of her kids to get along and wants everyone to move on. It’s upsetting for her to see as a mother.”
