BREAKING: Violence erupts in New York City as pro-Palestinian mob attacks police on Christmas
Christmas chaos ensued in New York as pro-Palestinian protesters clashed with police. The nearly 500 protesters marched through midtown Manhattan chanting “no celebration until liberation” and “Israel you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide.”
As the protest dragged on into evening, agitators confronted police outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Several arrests were made near Grand Central Station and downtown near Union Square at 14th Street, the New York Post reported.
The NYPD reportedly issued a “level three mobilization” as fights erupted between officers and agitators. Numerous altercations were reported.
NYPD held the line as they were swarmed by crazed protesters.
Protesters carried what appeared to be a nativity scene on a bier past Radio City Music Hall on 6th Avenue, chanting “Christmas is canceled here” and “long live the intifada.” The baby being held by what appears to be Mary is clearly deceased.
They also surrounded the iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree and disrupted the holiday.
“While Ur Shopping Bombs are Dropping,” read one of the signs. The protests began near the News Corp building on 6th Avenue, where Fox News, the New York Post, and the Wall Street Journal have offices.
That building was named as a target for anti-Israel protests and its location was marked on a map that identified the building as “an enemy of both the Palestinian people and colonized people all over the world.”
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
