After the conclusion of a successful peace deal and signing of documents at The White House this afternoon which included President Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Donald Trump, and Prime Minister Pashinyan of Armenia, President Trump has announced a meeting with the Russian President in Alaska a week from today.

“The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska. Further details to follow. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Trump mentioned at today’s White House event that he did not want to take away from the signing ceremony and would release information on the Putin situation later in the day.

Alaska is remote and will be easy to ensure security for both leaders.

Anchorage has a large airport and population but Fairbanks and other remote military sites also have large runways to allow for such an event.

Kremlin aide Ushakov – In Alaska and the Arctic, the economic interests of Russia and the US intersect, and prospects for the implementation of large-scale projects are visible.

Kremlin aide says Moscow expects that the next meeting between Putin and Trump after Alaska will take place in Russia, an invitation has been sent to Trump.

Axios reports US, Ukrainian, and European officials will meet in the UK this weekend to align their stance ahead of the planned Trump-Putin summit, amid fears Trump could strike a peace deal with Moscow that sidelines allies.
