BREAKING: Man behind LAScanner account doxing ICE brokers arrested and JAILED in California
Jack D. Quillin, the owner of the social media account, was arrested by the Ventura County Sheriff Department.
The person behind the social media account LAScanner was arrested on Friday and is being held in custody. Jack D. Quillin, the owner of the social media account, has consistently doxed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Quillin was arrested by the Ventura County Sheriff Department on Friday.
Previous posts from the LA Scanner account had doxed the location of ICE agents.
In June, Quillin was posting the real time locations of ICE agents during operations in California. The doxing sparked accusations that he was endangering ICE as well as federal officers in their operations.
According to Insider Wire, Quillin is a convicted felon from a 2023 stalking case. As a felon it is illegal for him to have a police scanner. He was taken into custody at the airport “while attempting to visit CA from TX, with DHS possibly being involved in the arrest,” a source told the outlet.
A source told the outlet, “The arrest may be related to his past doxxing of ICE agents, or his various parole violations such as possessing forbidden weapons or police scanners, which have been well-documented online.” Another person who spoke to Inside Wire said that Quillin had been “accused of hacking DHS radios.”
