BREAKING: Jamaal Bowman surrenders to police after being charged for pulling fire alarm in Capitol
On Thursday, Rep. Jamaal Bowman turned himself in to police for pulling the fire alarm in a Capitol office building during a meeting on a Republican-backed stopgap bill to keep the government funded past the Sept. 30 deadline.
The Democratic congressman has agreed to plead guilty after reaching an agreement with the Washington DC attorney general that will result in his “false fire alarm” charge being dropped.
According to Fox News, the “Squad” member surrendered to law enforcement Thursday morning, and will be arraigned.
