BREAKING: CBP-involved taking pictures after ramming incident in Texas
As the vehicle started to drive away, federal agents appeared to fire shots at the tires of the vehicle.
A federal agent was seen on video apparently shooting at the tires of a moving car in Texas on Saturday. The video report comes as there have been other shooting incidents involving Border Patrol as well as ICE over the past few weeks.
The video shows a vehicle ramming into a law enforcement vehicle in reverse and then driving forward. As the vehicle started to drive away, a federal agent appeared to fire shots at the tires of the vehicle on the right side.
After the shots are fired, the vehicle appeared to veer off to the right. People behind the camera then said, “They got away,” but it is unclear from the footage how far the vehicle went. The incident went viral on Saturday. This also comes as there has been an increase in vehicle ramming attacks on federal agents as well as an over 1,000 percent increase in assaults on ICE agents.
There have been other shooting that took place over the last few weeks involved Border Patrol as well as two happening in Minnesota and another in Portland, Oregon. The shooting of Renee Good took place in Minneapolis when the anti-ICE agitator drove her car into an ICE agent, Jon Ross, who then shot her in response.
Good as well as her wife, Becca, had been blocking ICE with their vehicle on the road leading up to the confrontation with ICE. Alex Pretti was also shot in Minnesota as well. He had been resisting arrest when the shots were fired. Video footage of the shooting appeared to show Pretti get disarmed before the shots were fired in the fast-paced incident. One officer also yelled that he had a gun before the shots rang out.
In Portland, two alleged Tren de Aragua gang members were shot and injured when they allegedly rammed federal agents in their car.
