DHS said the man was armed at the time of the shooting.
There has been a Border Patrol involved shooting in Minneapolis. The man was reportedly armed at the time of the shooting with two magazines as well as a firearm.
Fox News’ Bill Melugin posted, “Multiple law enforcement sources tell me there has just been a Border Patrol involved shooting in Minneapolis near 26th Street & Nicollet Ave. with Border Patrol shooting a person. I’m told the person is ‘down’ and medics are working on them. No details yet on who it was or what led up to the shooting.”
DHS told Fox News that the man was armed at the time of the shooting and had two magazines. Melugin posted a photo of the gun that was recovered at the scene.
Video of the shooting showed ICE agents wrestling a man to the ground and then an agent is seen firing shots at the man, who appeared to stop moving after the shots were fired. The video was taken from inside Glam Donuts, a shop that was next to the incident.
Multiple shots were fired at the man. An ambulance was on the scene taking the man away after CPR was administered to the man shot by the officers. Scanner reports indicated that the man was shot multiple times in the chest.
Minneapolis posted on X, “We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.”
Governor Tim Walz, who said he spoke to the White House in the aftermath of the shooting, came out blaming Trump for the incident, saying, “I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.
