Bernie Sanders Admits Kamala Harris is 'Hiding Her Radical Far-Left Policies' Until after Election

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) recently appeared on NBC’s “Meet The Press”, where he was asked if he was concerned about Vice President Kamala Harris‘ campaign pivoting away from far-left policies to appeal to a broader range of voters.

Host Kristen Walker noted that Harris, a self-described “progressive” who has backed several of the most far-left policy platforms endorsed by Democrats, appears to be hiding those policies.

As a reminder, some of those policies include:

  • Healthcare for illegal aliens
  • A path to citizenship for illegal aliens
  • Ban on fracking
  • Imposing limits on meat consumption

“She has previously supported Medicare for all, now she does not. She has previously supported a ban on fracking, now she does not,” the NBC host pointed out to Sanders.

“These, senator, are ideas that you have campaigned on. Do you think that she is abandoning her progressive ideas?” Welker then asked.

“No, I don’t think she’s abandoning her ideals,” Sanders responded..

“I think she’s trying to be pragmatic and doing what she thinks is right in order to win the election.”

“My own view is slightly different.”

As reported last week, Harris is trying to appear more moderate by avoiding the media.

She has yet to hold a single press conference, and just under two months remain until the election.

Those in her campaign appear to think that Harris focusing on “character” rather than actual policy will give her a much better chance of defeating former President Donald Trump.

“I actually think the way the American people think about this choice is less about the minutiae of policy and more about the direction of the country, number one, and secondly, about the person. Character it does matter,” Michigan Rep. Dan Kildee told CNN.

Harris has yet to release a formal platform on her policies.

It’s also worth noting that a nonpartisan watchdog group once graded Harris as the most far-left senator in America.

However, she has balked at a number of positions in recent weeks.

For instance, she has stated she will not ban fracking and condemned her own administration’s electric vehicle mandates.

Harris has even taken credit for Donald Trump‘s wall construction in her own campaign ads.
