Bannon Rages at Elon Musk: “He’s a Phony Working Against President Trump!”
Steve Bannon responded to Elon Musk‘s spat with President Donald Trump, suggesting the Tesla CEO had no business receiving the kind of trust or praise the commander in chief gave him.
During a discussion with his co-hosts, former U.S. Congressman Dave Brat and social media personality Jack Posobiec, Bannon unloaded on Musk.
“Elon Musk is working for himself,” Bannon began.
“President Trump empowered him more than anyone’s ever been empowered in this government!
He [President Trump] had his back. Promoted this guy. And when people like me, who said, ‘You’re making a mistake!
This is a bad guy! He’s gonna turn on you! He’s not with us. He’s also totally incompetent!’ And when President Trump said, ‘Hey, give this guy a shot!’ and I trust President Trump‘s judgment.”
Bannon explained that as soon as Elon didn’t think he was running things, he “turned” on President Trump.
“He [Musk] turned on the country—on the American people—and President Trump has had enough of it!”
Regarding Musk’s criticism of Trump’s “One Big Beautiful” bill, Bannon suggested that the tech billionaire could have spoken with some of the top Republicans.
Instead, he began “tweeting the most vicious stuff you could tweet!”
Musk then dropped a tweet claiming Trump was listed in the Epstein files, and that he should be impeached.
Bannon really unloaded on the tweet, saying, “He called for the president to be impeached and JD Vance to take his role!”
“As hard as we’ve worked in all the years! Some punk is gonna sit there and go, he should be impeached!?”
Bannon then predicted Democrats would soon begin supporting Musk again.
“He’ll write a $500 million check for Hakeem Jeffries—He’ll be across the thing, looking to impeach President Trump—looking to help steal the ’28 election!” Bannon said.
“Here’s the problem with Elon—It’s very simple. He promised $1 trillion and cuts and waste, fraud and abuse,” Bannon said.
“In the joint, you know, the State Of The Union or the joint thing of Congress—Remember the mantra of going through all the Social Security people that were 200 years old?” Bannon asked.
“Not one penny was ever found!” he exclaimed.
“Okay, where is the fraud in Medicaid, which is ripe for fraud?” he asked.
“He [Musk] never came up with anything!” Bannon said.
“Where is the fraud at the Pentagon, which is the Mack Daddy’s of waste, fraud and abuse? Not one penny!” Bannon exclaimed.
