After 30 Years in Office, Dem Senator Might LOSE Her Seat

This election season is an unlucky one for the democrats, as many are already aware that they will lose the elections even before ballots are cast. Several incumbent democrats will lose their seats, and Republican candidates are leading nationwide.

A new poll conducted by Trafalgar Group found that Senator Patty Murray is one of the incumbent democrats at risk of losing their seats in the coming election. The Washington Senator who has managed to hold on to her seat for over a decade might be forced to leave. The recently conducted survey revealed that the incumbent senator might be leaving the seat for her Republican challenger, who seems to have more influence in the state.

According to the statewide survey, both candidates would have a very tight battle if the race was conducted immediately, and the winner would only lead by a narrow margin. Both candidates had a statistical tie according to the polls, which means that Smiley, Murray’s challenger, is up to the task and well-loved by the people of Washington.

Suppose Smiley’s influence continues to increase, the Republicans would have no problem emerging as the winner in the coming elections, earning another seat in the Senate for the GOP.

A poll conducted by Trafalgar Grop a few weeks ago found that Murray was leading the Republican 49.2% to 46.3%, which was also very close, considering Murray is a well-known person in the state. However, the Republican has risen to the challenge, according to the new poll and her steady rise proves that Murray might be in big trouble come November.

Smiley appeared on the John Curley and Shari Elliker show and asserted that Murray is desperate for power for trying to hold on to a seat for decades as though it was her birthright.

Smiley said, “I think Patty Murray’s desperate, and that shows I’m here to serve. Patty Murray wants to scare you. Not on [my] watch will do-nothing, career politician Patty Murray phone it in for another six years. We are heading into recession, and she’s raising taxes. She’s now paying for student loan forgiveness. She failed to address a Fentanyl crisis that’s killing our kids. I think it looks like desperation. That’s why we will win this race.”

Apparently, the people of Washington also believe that Murray has done enough as support for her decreases as more people support the new challenger with better things to offer.

Smiley added, “I was 11 years old when [Murray] was first elected in Washington State, and we’ve just seen it decline,” said Smiley. “Just look at [her] voting record. Our pensions are decreasing. We’re losing jobs. We have a homeless crisis, humanitarian crisis, [and] a crime crisis.”

The Senate is currently split equally with Republicans holding 50%. However, the democrats have the upper hand thanks to Kamala Harris. But with this coming elections, that number is expected to significantly change and give Republicans the upper hand in the Senate.
