Activist Scott Presler urges conservatives to get active in Wisconsin Supreme Court race to prevent far-left election interference in midterms
A dinner with Democratic donors where Crawford spoke was billed as a “chance to put two more House seats in play.”
A state Supreme Court election in Wisconsin could end up being the largest political battle of 2025, between conservative candidate Judge Brad Schimel from the Waukesha County Circuit and the more liberal candidate from the Dane County Circuit, Judge Susan Crawford. Conservative activist Scott Presler has urged more Republicans to get involved with the race.
The election between the two in the swing state will be imperative for future decisions made by the court on the topic of an abortion ban in the states as well as other issues, according to CNN. Conservative activist Scott Presler, who worked to drive the Republican vote in the state of Pennsylvania, posted about the election on Thursday, emphasizing its importance.
“Every conservative in America should be talking about the Wisconsin Supreme Court election on April 1st. George Soros is trying to buy the Court, so liberals can gerrymander Wisconsin congressional maps & take the House in 2026. I’m shocked at how many people don’t care,” Pressler wrote.
According to ABC News, a dinner with Democratic donors where Crawford spoke was advertised as a “chance to put two more House seats in play,” indicating that her election could mean the rejiggering of district lines for congressional seats. Schimel accused her of wrongdoing in response.
The election could also be something of a pulse-check on the American public after Trump won the state of Wisconsin along with other swing states in the November presidential election.
The amount that will be spent is expected to pass $51 million, which is the dollar amount that was funneled into the 2023 election of the state’s Supreme Court. Although Supreme Court elections are supposed to be nonpartisan, Democrat megadonor George Soros gave $1 million to the Wisconsin Democratic Party in January, which promptly gave $2 million to Crawford’s campaign, per the Associated Press.
Earlier this month, Schimel’s campaign wrote in a statement, “Susan Crawford is George Soros’ ideal investment. On Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, Susan Crawford has an agenda and Soros is buying into it.”
Elon Musk’s America PAC is spending $1 million on Schimel’s campaign and more funds are coming from another organization connected to Musk, Building America’s Future, is funding attack ads on Crawford with $1.6 million.
