Off Their Block: Tetris Threatens to Sue WH Over ‘Build the Wall’ Online Parody Arcade Game
The White House recently launched an online arcade page featuring parodies of popular video games. Each game ties into a policy position or initiative of President Donald Trump’s administration. But one video game maker is not happy with Trump.
But first, let’s check out the games. (WATCH)

So far, the site offers five video games.
Here’s a breakdown per USA Today:
The White House Arcade is currently offering five games, with a sixth coming soon. They include:
- Build the Wall: In the 1980s-style falling-block game, purportedly inspired by Tetris, players attempt to drop blocks in the path of a stream of brightly colored 16-bit immigrants crossing the “Southern Border.” “Stack bricks. Hold the line,” the game says. A failure gets you a “BORDER BREACHED” message.
- Rio Run: Akin to Snake, players control a white man in a suit who must intercept immigrants without crossing over his own path. When an immigrant is captured, they don an orange jumpsuit and begin following the man. At the end, players are informed of how many people they deported.
- Supply Line: In this Tapper-inspired game, players must “sort the school lunch to Make America Healthy Again” by watching food move past on a conveyor belt and punching off any items containing seed oil, colouring (spelled the British way), additives, or that are sealed. “Bare rides. Treated comes off,” the game instructs.
- Flappy Bill: Players, in this game reminiscent of Flappy Bird, control a bald eagle carrying a piece of legislation across the National Mall, avoiding monuments and pillars.
- Trump Savings Tycoon: Players try to “fill your kids’ Trump accounts” by swinging a net to catch money, gold coins, and other items, a nod to the administration savings plan that offers $1,000 to every child born during Trump’s term. In the background, a construction crane can be seen amid the monuments.

Well, those are enough to keep any gamer occupied and amused.
But the top people at the Tetris Company are not laughing. They feel that their copyright has been violated, plus they want everyone to know they’re pro-illegal aliens.
P.S. The Tetris Company was not involved in the creation of ‘Build the Wall’.
P.P.S. We take copyright infringement very seriously. pic.twitter.com/Fu02khRpT3

The plight of illegal aliens woke them from their social media slumber.
Posters say they’re not worried about a possible lawsuit from Tetris.
The basic gameplay elements of Tetris are not covered under copyright: this has already been litigated in court as I am sure you guys are already aware: https://t.co/5fpNUm4F5J

A quick scroll through Apple’s game app store reveals dozens of Tetris knockoff games.
Posters say they want to put the game company’s anti-wall rhetoric to the test.
You don’t believe in borders? Okay I’m going to come move into your headquarters at 55 Merchant Street, Suite 1700, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, United States. Sounds like a nice place!

Yall should tear down your home walls then.

Pretty convenient for Tetris to have its headquarters on an island inaccessible to illegal aliens. They’re against walls while surrounded by miles of ocean.
