Trump Pushes Abraham Accords Enlargement

President Trump provided an update on negotiations with Iran, urging other Middle Eastern countries to join the Abraham Accords after “all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together.”

Declaring that negotiations are “proceeding nicely,” Trump wrote that it should be “mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords.” The countries include “Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (already a Member!), Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain (already a Member!),”

Trump explained that the Abraham Accords have “proven to be, for the Countries involved (The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan), a Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM, even during this time of Conflict and War, with the current Members never even suggesting leaving, or taking so much as even a pause.” The reason for this, he said, is that the Abraham Accords “have been great for them, and will be even better for everybody, and bring true Power, Strength, and Peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years.”

The statement noted that Middle Eastern leaders would be “honored” to have Iran join the Abraham Accords. “Wow, now that would be something special! This will be the most important Deal that any of these Great, but always in Conflict Countries, will ever sign,” Trump wrote. “Nothing in the past, or in the future, will surpass it.”

“By copy of this TRUTH, I am asking my Representatives to begin, and successfully complete, the process of signing these Countries into the already Historic Abraham Accords.”

The push for an expanded Abraham Accords aligns with the Trump administration’s agenda. “One of the President’s key objectives is that the Abraham Accords be expanded, that more countries come into it, and we are working on that, in my team and in coordination with the Secretary of State and the entire State Department,” Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff said last year. “We think we’re going to have some pretty big announcements on countries that are now coming into the Abraham Peace Accords.”

Witkoff explained that the Trump administration is hoping for “normalization across an array of countries that maybe people would have never contemplated would come in.” He added that a possible expansion would be a “stabilizer in the Middle East.”
