CVS Denies Relationship With Deliberate Parenthood, Nonetheless Sells Abortion Capsules
CVS Health has denied having any formal partnership with the Planned Parenthood abortion business after the abortion company touted a “strategic partnership” with the pharmacy chain.
On its web site, Planned Parenthood previously touted a “strategic partnership” with CVS that allowed customers to purchase abortion pills at CVS pharmacies. But the abortion giant quietly removed that language from its web site.
Now, CVS maintains it only fills prescriptions for the drugs that end the lives of unborn babies but doesn’t have a relationship with Planned Parenthood to promote them.
A recent annual report from Planned Parenthood of Greater New York previously stated: “Through our strategic partnership with CVS, patients can now pick up the abortion pill from their local pharmacies, allowing them to experience abortion care, with the supportive guidance of our expert clinicians, in the comfort of their homes.”

That language was removed from the report late last week.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, CVS said its reproductive health program team “is unaware of anything related to that organization beyond standard abortifacient dispensing for individuals with prescriptions.” The company added that it “do[es] not have a formal partnership with Planned Parenthood of Greater New York beyond filling prescriptions” and has no agreement or coordination beyond dispensing legally prescribed abortion pills.
Shawn Carney, president of 40 Days for Life, told Fox News Digital, that the whole thing sounds fishy.
“There’s a little bit of mystery here,” Carney said.
“CVS is for sure downplaying their role,” he added. “They say they’re just distributing abortion pills — that’s exactly what Planned Parenthood wants them to do.”
Despite the denial, CVS continues to sell mifepristone and misoprostol — the two-drug regimen used for chemical abortions that starve babies to death — at many of its locations.
In March 2024, CVS and Walgreens announced they would begin dispensing the abortion pill at select stores in states where abortion is legal, marking a major expansion of the abortion pill’s availability through retail pharmacies. The pill is largely responsible for a massive increase in the number of babies killed in abortions nationwide.
Pro-life advocates note that while CVS claims no special relationship, the company has become a key distributor of drugs that kill preborn children. Mifepristone blocks progesterone needed to sustain a pregnancy, starving the unborn baby of nutrients and leading to his or her death.
