American Idol Contestants Brooks Rosser, Rae Boyd Are Courting
Rae Boyd found herself a Prince Charming.
The American Idol alum, who was eliminated from the show’s 24th season on April 13, hard launched her relationship with fellow contestant Brooks Rosser during the show’s Disney Night on April 20.
Following Brooks’ rendition of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, host Ryan Seacrest teased a surprise for the singer.
“Brooks, one of the great things about this show is the people you meet, the relationships you form, the special, magical moments that happen,” Ryan said. “Did you connect with anybody? Cause I hear you’re a real Prince Charming.”
While the 22-year-old felt a little bashful, Ryan revealed that Rae had come to cheer him on, adding, “One of the biggest fans of Brooks has come back.”
After running on stage and giving Brooks a hug, Rae confirmed their showmance, saying, “The princess is here to claim her prince.”
And although Rae’s Idol journey has ended, the 24-year-old was happy to support her new boyfriend, who just advanced to the Top Seven. Throughout the series, fans speculated that the two Maryland-based artists were dating, commenting under their joint Instagram posts singing together.
