Kash Patel Says FBI Has Proof Supporting Trump’s 2020 Election Claims

Kash Patel said over the weekend that the FBI has gathered evidence backing President Donald Trump’s long-standing claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, adding that arrests could be on the horizon.

Patel made the remarks during an appearance on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, where he was asked whether the bureau had uncovered anything related to Trump’s repeated assertions that the election was “rigged.”

“Absolutely, Maria,” Patel responded. “I’ve been with the president nearly since day one on this.”

Patel pointed to his previous work alongside Trey Gowdy, John Ratcliffe and Devin Nunes investigating what he described as corruption aimed at undermining Trump’s first presidential campaign. He then claimed that after becoming FBI director, he uncovered hidden files and restricted case material that had allegedly been concealed within bureau systems.

“I had to come in here and find rooms that they hid from the world,” Patel said. “I had to come in here and find access on our computer systems in restricted and prohibited case files that they purposely put in places for no one to see and find.”

Patel said the FBI is now working closely with the Department of Justice and Attorney General Todd Blanche to review the material.

“We’ve got all the evidence,” Patel said. “I can announce on your show that we’ve got all the information we need.”

He also vowed accountability for those he accused of trying to undermine both Trump and the American electoral system.

“They not only have personally attacked the presidency of the United States and President Trump, but they tried to thwart our elections and rig the entire system,” Patel said. “We are going to be making arrests. And it’s coming. And I promise you, it’s coming soon.”

President Trump has argued that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” or “stolen” through a combination of fraud and improper rule changes. His claims focused heavily on the rapid expansion of mail-in voting, which he said created opportunities for fake, illegal, or unverifiable ballots to be counted.

He also alleged there were serious irregularities during ballot counting in several battleground states, including claims that counts were paused, hidden from observers, or manipulated behind closed doors.

Trump further claimed that voting machines, particularly those tied to Dominion Voting Systems, improperly switched or deleted votes, and he argued that some states changed election procedures such as signature verification standards, ballot deadlines, and drop box usage without proper legislative approval. He also pointed to allegations involving ballots cast by dead, nonresident, or otherwise ineligible voters.

Another major part of Trump’s argument was that Republican poll watchers were denied meaningful access during the counting process, especially in large urban counties. He frequently cited late-night ballot dumps in states like Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and Wisconsin, saying sudden batches of votes heavily favoring Joe Biden were suspicious.
