Whitney Leavitt Unveils ‘The Whitney’ Signature Soiled Soda Recipe at Cool Sips in NYC

If you’ve been following Whitney Leavitt since Secret Lives of Mormon Wives first dropped, you already know she takes her dirty sodas seriously.

Now she’s turned that obsession into an official gig — and her go-to order is something you can actually buy.

The 32-year-old was recently named Chief Creative and Brand Officer of Cool Sips, a NYC-based soda shop chain with four locations in Manhattan.

She’s being tasked with innovating the menu, coming up with new flavor combinations and helping the brand develop what they describe as their “Signature Sips.”

And her very first one? It’s called “The Whitney” — naturally — and it uses club soda as its base combined with sugar-free pineapple syrup, sugar-free peach syrup, sugar-free vanilla syrup, lime syrup and raspberry purée. If that sounds familiar, it should.

“I’ve been ordering versions of this recipe for a long time, so being able to bring one of my personal, viral combinations to life as a signature sip as my first order of business at Cool Sips feels like a full-circle moment,” she told Food & Wine in an interview published April 8.

A full-circle moment is right. Going from ordering custom drinks on camera to literally putting your name on a menu? That’s the kind of influencer-to-executive pipeline we love to see.

So What Exactly Is a Dirty Soda?

For anyone who hasn’t fallen down this rabbit hole yet, a dirty soda is a customizable beverage made by mixing traditional fountain soda with flavored syrups, creamer (half-and-half or heavy cream) and sometimes fresh fruit or lime.

“Dirty Soda is all about customization, and that’s really what’s driven its popularity across the country,” Whitney told Food & Wine. “If you love piña coladas, you could add pineapple and coconut syrup into your base of choice. It’s designed to be really approachable but also super personalized.”

In an interview with Delish in January 2026, Whitney detailed her five golden rules for creating the best dirty soda.

First and foremost, pebble ice is a non-negotiable — and it must have a strong base (she prefers seltzer water, but club soda or fountain soda also work well).

The perfect dirty soda must also be sweet, which can be achieved with syrup or coconut cream. In order to perfect the proportions, she suggests tasting as you go and adjusting as needed.

You can also add some flair with a mint, lemon or lime garnish — but only if you want to take the drink to the next level.

Every Cast Member Has a Go-To Order

Whitney isn’t the only one with a signature sip. Dirty sodas were popularized on social media and featured heavily on the Hulu show, with cast members often seen sipping their own 44-ounce dirty sodas.

There were several obvious favorites among the cast, including Demi Engemann’s sparkling water, sugar-free coconut, sugar-free raspberry, sugar-free pineapple and coconut cream.

Miranda Hope and Layla Taylor often went with sparkling water, strawberry purée, sugar-free vanilla and coconut cream, while Jessi Draper, Taylor Frankie Paul and Jen Affleck often had Dr. Pepper with coconut cream and vanilla.

Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews kept it simple with Diet Coke, lime and coconut.
