Iuilia Mendel was Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s press secreteary from 2019 to 2021, when she left her position under a suspicious cloud of rumor and innuendo as to the reason behind her departure.

In June 2019, shortly after Zelenskyy’s election, she won a competitive selection (from thousands of applicants) to become his press secretary and spokesperson—a role she held until July 2021. She had a front-row seat to major events: Zelenskyy’s meetings with world leaders (including Putin), front-line visits in Donbas, handling the fallout from the Trump-Zelenskyy phone call that led to Trump’s first impeachment, and efforts to reform Ukraine’s post-Soviet institutions toward European democracy. She described the job as intense, with long hours and high stakes, and resigned voluntarily, citing health, pace, and personal goals (though some media speculated on tensions).

Yesterday, she posted comments on her Facebook page about Zelenskiy’s close advisor Andriy Yermak, accusing him of being involved with ‘dark arts’ magic, and ‘draining water from corpses’ in the cemetary, and importing magicians into Ukraine.

This post has electrified Ukrainian internet discussion and political circles. Her X account is @IuliiaMendel; however, the original post was on Facebook.

Yermak was pushed out of office several months ago, and is alleged to be President Zelenskiy’s homosexual lover.

About Yermak and magic.

In 2019, at the President’s Office during a briefing, a journalist came in, and after the briefing, he ran not after the President, but after his then-adviser Andriy Yermak with a question on camera: “What were you doing at the cemetery together with [NAME]?”

The journalist repeated this question several times, so I heard it clearly. It was the first time in my life I had heard such a question, it stayed with me ignored, and I never found the material.

In 2020, one minister came to me with information that Yermak, who was already head of the office at that time, was engaged in magic. The minister didn’t go into details, but he was very frightened.

In 2023, a person from an important service told me how Yermak brought magicians from Israel, Georgia, and some Latin American country for magical rituals.

In 2024, a person from the esoteric sphere told me that Yermak’s magicians burn some herbs, collect water from corpses, and make some dolls, which he puts in a certain chest. Allegedly, in that special chest — there are already the dead themselves.

Now law enforcement officers and even people’s deputies (Yaroslav Zheleznyak) are publicly talking about this.

I have never understood the system of magic and have never engaged in rituals. At first, it was so hard for me to believe this, just as hard as believing in the existence of ghosts.

However, once long ago, a European financier from one world organization told me about the king of one African country (I deliberately won’t name it), who consulted on state affairs with tree spirits, and once did not allow a European investor to build a factory so as not to anger the spirit of the river. This same king called the national bank of the country and dictated what figure to enter in the reports for inflation and what figures for GDP.

The parallels are obvious. Yermak could have worked with professionals in politics and economics, read books and developed skills as a politician/official. Instead, he tried to block or use the energies of other people, as he imagined it. I’m not surprised that most of the statistics were also faked under his leadership, just like the king with GDP and inflation. The parallels are the same.

You can’t win with brains alone in politics. But without them — you’re nowhere either.

Today, when the country is sitting without heat, without light, without basic needs, we can all only laugh at this magical “politics,” if we have the strength for it. However, I’ll say that in Ukrainian politics, Yermak is far from the only one who practices magical rituals.

P.S. Andriy, when you read this, think that any of your decisions and actions now will be mirrored back to you. And God is stronger. He was. And He always will be. It was necessary to choose the light side from the very beginning.
