Tons of of Professional-Life Individuals Be a part of Minnesota March for Life
Hundreds of Minnesotans from across the state came to the Capitol in St. Paul today to urge protection and support for women and children and to spotlight the dangers of coerced abortions under Minnesota’s extreme abortion policy. The annual MCCL March for Life marks the anniversary of abortion’s legalization; it has been held each year since 1974.
Dr. Brook Parker-Bello, a leading anti-trafficking expert and advocate, shared her story of surviving trafficking, rape, and forced abortion, which left her unable to have children. “I had no choice whether I was going to get an abortion or not. They made me do it, and when I went in [to get the abortion] … my traffickers were there. If my parents would have been notified, they would have found me. I would have been rescued. I would have been saved.”

Dr. Parker-Bello added: “For victims, there’s no follow up. There’s no health care. It’s just an abortion, and back to the darkness of being raped.”
MCCL’s legislative agenda, introduced during today’s program, includes a bill to protect against coerced abortions—whether through trafficking, violence, or abortion drugs. “It requires abortionists to stop turning a blind eye to abuse and trafficking, to actively screen and report suspected abuse to law enforcement, and to notify parents of a minor girl when there is suspicion of abuse,” said MCCL Co-Executive Director Cathy Blaeser. “It’s time we put the safety of our children above the profits and secrecy of abortionists. Coercion is not choice.”
