We Want Extra Married And Pregnant Celebrities
Move over Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, there’s a new and better NFL celebrity “it” couple on the scene. Talks about a Swiftie wedding are still floating around tabloids and social media, sure, but the true stars of the season are Josh Allen, his wife Hailee Steinfeld, and their unborn child.
Allen and Steinfeld made headlines in mid-December when they announced their pregnancy with a video clip of the NFL quarterback kissing his wife’s belly. They once again found themselves in the spotlight this weekend after the 29-year-old Sinners star dazzled the cameras and debuted her growing baby bump clothed in a head-to-toe peach gown at the Golden Globes.
It was hard to miss Steinfeld whose diamong ring, rumored to be around 4 carats, flashed as she posed for the cameras with her hands perched around her unborn baby. She spent the rest of the night cracking jokes from the stage, still caressing her belly.
Allen couldn’t be by Steinfeld’s side on the red carpet because he was too busy winning the Buffalo Bills’ playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, another weekend talking point. The quarterback did his best to make up for his absence, however, with an Instagram story post drooling over red carpet shots of his better half.
It can be dangerous game to look up to celebrities, whose lives are surrounded by and often drenched in immorality, heartbreak, and other tragedies. In an entertainment world dominated by surrogate-using stars and serial baby daddy/baby mama drama, however, it’s hard not to notice when a couple like Allen and Steinfeld follow the normal and ideal order of operations when it comes to building a family.
From the time the couple was first spotted canoodling in late Spring of 2023 to their quiet wedding in May 2025, Allen and Steinfeld appeared to have their priorities on marriage and expanding their brood straight. When Allen proposed in November 2024, he told Steinfeld, “I can’t wait to start a family with you.” Her response to a statement that would undoubtedly send the rabid anti-child feminists of our day over the edge? “Happy tears.”
Allen and Steinfeld are just one of scarce examples of the rich and famous doing things the “right way.” They dated intentionally, out of the public eye as much as possible for a year and a half before getting engaged. It only took six months after Allen popped the question for the couple to tie the knot. Not only was this a refreshing timeline in the age of shockingly long celebrity engagements, but both Allen and Steinfeld successfully sealed the deal with each other at relatively young ages, another Hollywood rarity.
On paper, Allen and Steinfeld are just another Hollywood and NFL power couple who has it all. He’s an on-the-field superstar who might just get his chance at a Super Bowl this year. She’s an award-winning and Oscar-nominated actress and singer whose nearly two-decade-long Hollywood career continues to be a success. Their prudence in tying the knot before having children, however, not only distinguishes them from their colleagues but also sets them and their kids up for the best future possible.
There’s something different and sincerely wholesome about the Allen family. It’s clear from interviews and Steinfeld’s Substack musings that the couple means much more to each other than fame and fortune. In an October pregame sitdown with ESPN, Allen gushed about his “rockstar” wife and her ability to teach him “that I am more than a football player.”
“She’s everything that I need in my life,” Allen said.
Steinfeld similarly has referred to Allen as the “man of my dreams.”
A big win for Allen and more awards for Steinfeld would be a lovely addition to the couple’s already-charming professional resumes. They don’t need either, though, because they are already on track to have the best year of their lives with each other as man and wife and the blessing of a new little one coming soon.
